She adjusted the small mesa, tabela mirror, watching her reflected fingers braid her hair. She wasn't really paying attention to anything, just relaxed.
“Stop worrying, will ya? You're gorgeous.”
She jumped at the voice and turned to see the fifteen-year-old soldier sitting on her window sill.
“You scared me! I didn't know you were here.”
The young warrior shrugged.
“I have that affect on people.”
“Not all people.”
She shrugged again, her foot hanging out the window, swinging against the sheer cliff drop the little house was located by.
“What are you doing here, Becca?”
Another shrug.
“Just wanted to visit. Talk. You've been off lately.”
She turned back to the little mirror and finished off her braid.
“That obvious?”
“Yeah.”
A wind blew into the room, breaking the silence. The two looked at each other.
“Becca...you know I have doubts.”
“No one's perfect.”
“But...it feels wrong to doubt. I've...heard things from others about past experiences. And it makes me nervous.”
“They're out of the picture. Why are you worrying?”
“They've come back, Becca. She's come back.”
“And he hasn't left.”
“....not yet.”
“Not ever.”
She bit her lip and looked down, talking softer.
“I've thought about leaving...going away and disappearing.”
She looked up again as she heard a thump. Becca lay on the floor, shocked beyond belief. She eventually got up and sat down in a nearby chair.
“Geez! You scared me! Why all these sudden doubts?”
She looked away again, heading into her closet. Becca heard her slightly muffled voice.
“Ever since we escaped, I've thought about how much mais danger I've put him through; the danger we've put them through. And HE keeps coming into my thoughts, reminding me of certain times where his pain was all my fault.”
It took Becca awhile to put two-and-two together. But when she did, she stood.
“You are NOT leaving him!”
“But Becca-”
“No! No “but Becca'! No! You leave and I can guarantee he'd die in a heartbeat! No no no no no no NO! You're staying! And HE is wrong! HE caused it to happen or it was HIM, never you! So shut up and stay with him or I'm kicking angelic ass!”
Devin peeked her head out through the door. Her face was sincere.
“Thank you Becca.”
“Aw heck no! Don't thank me for nothin! You two need to talk!”
Devin smiled.
“I can see why you're attracted to him.”
“Huh?”
“His fogo matches your own.”
“DEVIN!”
The angel smiled almost wickedly and laughed. She disappeared again before coming out. Becca smirked at her.
“Drop dead gorgeous much?”
Devin's cheeks flushed but a genuine smile lit her face.
“Seriously Dev. You look very nice in black. Shows off your figure more.”
“Ugh! Please stop!”
Becca laughed as the angel buried her face.
“When did you go all goth anyway?”
“Since my Angel's light has been taken.”
Becca nodded; an evil smirk appeared on her face.
“I don't know about you, but I'm sure Fang will be very happy to see you wearing his colors.”
“Becca shut up!”

Dont do it for me do it for her,
Stop or i'll knock down ur door.
We both know its wrong,
I'll be por your side the whole way,
Save your self,
Dont end your life today.

And i know it dont feel good,
So just stop the hiding,

I dont want to see you walk down that path,
