My OTP is Kurt and Blaine of Glee. The rival couples are Blaine and Rachel, which disgust me and Kurt and Karofsky, which Karofsky was an asshole to Kurt. He threatened to kill him if Kurt told anyone Karofsky was gay, yes, they kissed... but I still can't forgive Karofsky.
My other OTP is Quinn/Puck from Glee, which I do ship Puck and Rachel and Quinn and Sam... but Quick are main.
Hard to say. The main reason I dislike BL is because of their relationship problems in general, not just because I ship LP. So if their story, and type of relationship still stayed the same, then no I wouldn't ship them.
But then again, if they weren't being directly compared to the amazingness that is LP (lol), they may come across as more appealing. So who knows!

I'll never grow tired of hearing about something that happened in season 3 of a show which is currently going into its fifth season. Oh, wait. Everyone who is a fan of Gossip Girl already knows what Chuck did, because they've SEEN THE EPISODE. Damon&Bonnie: I'd die before shipping that awful couple. Damon is too good for Bonnie.
Stefan&Elena: I actually liked them for a short while, but then they became soo boring and now they are just too cheesy and irritating. I stopped shipping them because of that, not because of delena so I think I wouldn't ship them at this point even if DE existed.
There is no rival couple for Brian/Justin. Michael, Brian's best friend had feelings for him but Brian didn't reciprocate so I couldn't possibly ship something so one sided. Plus Michael was super annoying.
No, I just couldn't ship Buffy and Angel. They do have their moments but I've just never liked that relationship and it really has nothing to do with the fact that Buffy & Spike are my OTP.
i did ship Derena. and the reason i don't ship them anymore is because the relationship ended up, being on-and-off in each episode, i got tired of it ...
I ship Brucas but I don't know If I could end up shipping Leyton,If Brucas never existed of course!It is hard to say because I don't like how these two became a couple and how much they hurted other people in order to be together!

Spuffy's main rival couple is Bangel. Honestly I used to like Bangel. I got over it though and then I discovered Spuffy. I think I would have eventually gotten tired of the broody, forbidden love relationship, but if Angel had stayed, and Spuffy didn't exist, who knows. I might have stayed a Bangel shipper.
Doctor/Rose (my favorite is 10/Rose, but I also love 9/Rose), they don't exactly have a rival couple..But 11 has a lot of romantic interests. I ship 11/Amy and I think 11/River is good too.
Booth/Brennan, what's their rival? Booth/Hannah? While I did kinda like Hannah, no I wsouldn't ship them.
Actually, Leyton is my OTP. Now, if Lucas/Peyton storylines would have never existed or if Peyton would have never been here I think I could have shipped Brucas. I don't hate them, I really think they had a great and really love story (season 3 only though).
My OTP is Bangel and if they didn't exist I don't think I could ship Spuffy they have chemistry but their relationship was unhealthy and brought down their characters
I probably would have just focused on the other ships of the show I like...anyway the rival guy is a total jerk who made racist remarks against the girl so even if I'd shipped them briefly I'm sure him saying that would have ruined it.
For Booth and Brennan with Booth/Hannah I felt like throwing up every time I saw them together, so I wouldn't ship them if B&B didn't have a storyline. With Cam/Booth they were alright but I didn't ship them and Brennan/Sully I shipped them, was sad for Brennan when he left.
My OTP is Max and Liz from Roswell. The rival couple is Max and Tess, which I could never, ever ship, and not just because of Max/Liz. From the moment she met Max, Tess manipulated and mind-raped him into loving her. She lied and cheated and MURDERED. Max is 1000 x too good for her.
Well Seth and Summer barely ever had a rival couple. I am pretty sure the closest was Anna/Seth and Summer/Zach. I could not STAND Summer and Zach will all my being, but I liked Anna and Seth.
I definitely shipped their friendship more than their relationship and I was rooting for Summer in the love triangle in season 1, but I still believe had Summer never fallen for Seth, he would have ended up with Anna. They were kind of perfect for each other. I'd ship it.
That's what I try to say. I would never ship BL even if LP never existed. Their relationship was all about sex & attraction in S1 and insecurities, trust issues and lots of words in S3. They have some cute moments but they are ruined by the constant need of reassurance of their sentiments towards each other. Their relationship is not stable in my eyes and was just a high school story. That is why I don't ship them. It has nothing to do with LP being together & their moments.
Jeyton is another story. If LP never existed I would definitely ship them. I like Jeyton, but prefer LP.
But I only ship Chair in the 1st two & a half seasons. I hate them after that.
