Why do some E/C shippers amor LND for its E/C shipping efforts?

I just personally think Erik and Christine don't deserve a amor story of nonsense and offense. Let me explain my point of view;

1.) Their moonless night shag just couldn't happen (like that if at all), not even with the film relationship. I'd appreciate their E/C shipping intent mais if they at least cared about it enough to make its storyline logic. Not only is it nonsense, but...

2.) It makes me go "IAAAAAHHH O____O !!!!" any time I think of how "Benath the Moonless Sky" literally has them not deal with any emotions but just get it on without any emotion behind the actual sex either. Not to mention that it makes it sound like she'd have never done it if she'd actually had to look at him - so, like, thank God it was pitch black moonless night and we were too horny to find a spot with any light!!11 And then he just runs the hell away while she sleeps instead of embracing the fact that she came back?

The whole concept of their night is about as far from amor as it can get. It's compareable to a drunken one-night stand between two ex-lovers because they are just so horny. Add to that how it made her utterly immoral; to cheat on Raoul like that and still go on and marry the man. It makes me sick.

3.) He lets people talk about and do to Christine whatever the hell they want and doesn't do much about it. (Madam Giry bashing her, Meg shooting her, Raoul being a drunken asshole.) WHAT THE HELL!!?

4.) Christine dies because he's stupid enough to worship her to a lunatic who is knowingly trying to murder her (Christine's) child.

In short; I personally see that storyline as shipping E/C but screaming hatred for the ship. Starting from a nonsense, emotionless sexing, seperating them AGAIN because of the man's stupidity, all the way to killing off the woman because of the man's stupidity.

There. Any LND apaixonados care to give me another point of view for the E/C shipment of LND?

Oh and the farewell kiss with his dying amor in his arms might be emotional and touching even to me if everything else about the storyline was, like, completely the opposite and especially the scene that lead to her dying. But its all utter nonsense and ridiculous drama. Makes me unable to take the death scene seriously or care about the characters, who apparently aren't even the Erik and Christine I fell in amor with.

LOL. And now the "fixed" Australian production went on making Erik blackmail Christine with her own child's life just so he could hear her sing once more. The least romantic thing ever, in fact it's not at all but totally SICK, Not to mention totally unforgivable, and still Christine remains madly in amor with him - (ohmygod, poor Gustave!) - and seeing to that Erik never even apologizes for that blackmail or realize it was wrong...ALW really doesn't give a shit about respect and logic for this E/C shipment of his. I'm seriously starting to cadastrar-se the "conspiracy theory" group believing LND is nothing mais but ALW's fantasy-revenge to his ex-wife, on the expense of our beloved Erik, Christine and Raoul.

Personally, I'm in the camp that subscribes to the 'conspiracy theory' that LND is--at least in part--an elaborate revenge fantasia of ALW towards Sarah Brightman.
You will note that although she's supposedly now randomly madly in amor with the Phantom, HE leaves HER. And she's miserable. And her new man sucks. And the Phantom now has all teh wimmenz! And he's reverse aging too, so there!
Then Christine comes toddling back, is obviously still into him, but torn up about getting back with him. And then she dies.
You cannot tell me that ALW didn't have any idea how people would react to that kind of nonsense. Especially since in the past he has compared himself to the Phantom. Hell, in one of the Behind the Mask documentaries a couple other people did as well. Noting that he's not exactly a looker, but he wrote this beautiful beautiful thing for his gorgeous paramour.
I don't think that this was ever intended to be E/C. If it was, we'd get a happily ever after that would make you diabetic just from watching it.

LOL. Well, you're probably right. But whatever ALW's meaning, nonetheless LND DOES have obvious E/C shipping aspects and which some E/C shippers squee over and I really would like to know why the hell? Hence, the way I see those aspects as I reasoned in the pergunta details.
