First off I've been a fã of the Monkees since I was three. I amor the show and the music. These guys were my childhood! And I still amor them!
Now, for those that might not know 'Head' is a movie starring the Monkees. It was done in 1969, shortly after the series ended. What is it about? I honestly couldn't tell you. I first saw the film when I was six and even at 36 I still haven't figured it out *lol*
However, I do know that the movie was apparently made to end the group's nice and friendly image (the group's words not mine) but I don't think it worked.
Tbh, I always thought the film was a...

Dear Pastor:

I have a friend who is 41 years old, she's emotionally disturbed & lives with her mother who has diabetes. Her mother needs to be put in a mental hospital because she falsely accuses her daughter of certain things that she really didn't do or say. Her mother lowers her daughter's self esteem por calling her terrible names like crazy, dumb, & stupid; & threatens to put her in a group home. I really don't want my friend to be put in a group início because people don't treat other people nice, & the same thing goes with the halfway houses. If anything, I believe that my...

Still feeling like he's "dragging an anchor around" in the wake of Davy Jones' surprising death on Wednesday from a coração attack in Florida, Monkees bandmate Peter Tork says any continuation of the group "doesn't seem very likely, does it?" But he isn't ruling it out entirely, either.

"It's not absolutely impossible," Tork tells Billboard.com. "The Monkees have gone out as a threesome for most of the past 20-some years. But there are no plans, no discussion. This is way too early to begin to think about that." Tork adds that "certainly if there's some kind of show, concerto in his honor, I think we...

A Connecticut Yankee going to court
A Connecticut Yankee going to court
From the interview at the end of “Fairy Tale:”

Producer: What do you think Christian’s reaction’s gonna be?
Davy: The same as a Jew, I suppose.
*Peter chuckles*
Micky: That didn’t make any sense at all.
Davy: ‘Course, it did. “What would a Christian’s reaction be?”
*Micky roars with laughter*

I don’t always like religious jokes, but this one’s hilarious, especially with Micky’s delayed reaction. And I was just like he was at first- I was like, “huh???”

I wish we could’ve seen Mike’s reaction, since the original pergunta was about his son. But I do like Peter’s response,...

I heard someone say once (I don’t remember who it was) that the Monkees were ridiculously one-dimensional. They were just a bunch of nuts who could sing. Well, I’ll admit that when I was a kid, most of the appeal of the show was that they were basically like living Looney Tunes. But as I grew up, I came to realize that the characters were much deeper and much mais realistic than I ever gave them credit for. They’re like a family. They amor and care for each other, and they’ll do almost anything to keep the group together and happy.

Mike is definitely the big brother of the group. He’s...

Michael Nesmith, the singer-songwriter, author, actor-director and entrepreneur who will likely be best remembered as the wool-hatted, guitar-strumming member of the made-for-television rock band The Monkees, has died of coração failure at 78.

Nesmith was a struggling singer-songwriter in September 1966 when “The Monkees” televisão debut turned him and fellow band members Micky Dolenz, Peter Tork and David Jones into overnight rock stars.

Dolenz, the last surviving member of the band who completed a farewell tour with Nesmith last month, said on Instagram that he'd lost a dear friend and partner.

“I’m so grateful that we could spend the last couple of months together doing what we loved best – singing, laughing, and doing shtick," Dolenz said. "I’ll miss it all so much. Especially the shtick.”

Oh Mickey, you're so fine you're so fine you blow my mind, oi Mickey, oi Mickey)
(Oh Mickey, you're so fine you're so fine you blow my mind, oi Mickey, oi Mickey)
(Oh Mickey, you're so fine you're so fine you blow my mind, oi Mickey)

Hey Mickey!
You've been around all night and that's a little long
You think you've got the right but I think you've got it wrong
Why can't you say goodnight so you can take me home, Mickey

Cause when you say you will, it always means you won't
You're givin' me the chills, baby, please baby don't
Every night you still leave me all alone, Mickey

Oh Mickey, what...

                Since We've lost U

1st Verse:
It seems in a moment, ur whole world can shatter
Like morning dreams, they just disappear
Like dust in ur hand falling 2 the floor
Oh,how can life ever be the same?

Chorus1:
'Cuz our hearts are broken in pieces
Yes, our coração are broken in pieces
Since u've been gone

2nd Verse:
It's all 2 easy 2 take so much 4 granted
But it's so hard 2 find the words 2 say
Like a castelo in the sand, the water takes away
Now how can life ever be the same?

Chorus2:
'Cuz our hearts (our hearts) are broken in pieces
(Since u've been gone)
Yes, our hearts are broken in pieces
Since we've lost u

Bridge:
Oh, now u'll never see
Oh, now u'll never know
All the things we've planned 4 u
Things 4 u & we
We held ur hand so tightly
That we couldn't let it go
Now how can life ever be the same?

Chorus2
