EW confirms that Max Irons is set to play Jared and also mentions Jake Abel playing Ian. They are not who I pictured but at least they are good actors!

Yeah, he isn't how I pictured him but he fits the description some and can act. 1.5 years is a long time but even longer when you realize that the movie project was announced in September 2009!
