1. They had been together for over a decade, and like siblings, they fought amongst themselves towards the end.

2. Their musical differences were becoming evident, as Paul and John were working independently mais and more.

3. George had a backlog of GREAT music, and was eager to venture out as a solo artist.

4. John was heavily into serious drugs, and was becoming a threat to the government.

5. Paul was wanting the band to stay together no matter what, and the rest of the band was getting tired of his aggressiveness.

6. When the books were opened on the Beatles finances, Paul was found to have secretivly bought up mais shares than John, which was against the agreement they made a long time ago. John was furious that Paul had done this behind his back and damaged the trust they had established as songwriters and friends.

7. John had found someone he needed on a spiritual level mais than Paul, which was Yoko.

8. Paul wanted to keep touring, but the rest of the band did not.

9. Paul and John disagreed on who was going to manage the band going forward, and he would not sign with the choice the other three made. Paul wanted his Father-in-law, but the rest wanted the guy who managed the Rolling Stones.

10. Finally, take money, fame, politics, the procurar for spiritual truth, musical direction, the band growing in different directions, and the ongoing inward battles that crumbled the trust they had established with each other, and it was not so much they wanted to split, but it was impossible to stay together.

Because they never reunited is what made them the greatest musical legends of all time. Many treid to get them to get together for a reunion, but the trust, and the tax implications from the financial fallout was just too much for John and Paul to overcome.
