I rummaged through the bags in the back assento of the car. I was looking for the hat that she had bought at the mall.
"Looking for something Dawn?" My foster sister, Elise, asked from the wheel. I glanced up.
"No, I'm not looking for anything, Elise. I'm just going through the bags for no reason at all." I said, every word dipped in sarcasm. My foster mother, Andrea, hid a smile and looked out the window, while my other foster sister, Sara, glanced into one bags, then reached down and stuck her hand in it. When she pulled it back out, she was holding my new rosa, -de-rosa Fedora that had a soft blue ribbon...
