A estrela created 1,800 years atrás after the collision of two distant suns is set to appear in the night sky for the first time – as the light from the crash finally reaches the Earth.
Evidence from NASA's Chandra X-ray observatório and the Magellan telescopes suggest a estrela has been torn apart por an intermediate-mass black hole in a globular cluster.
