Does Scarlett get Rhett back? In July 1939, NY Times critic Bosley Crowther posed this very pergunta to Vivien Leigh: ''I'm not sure,'' she said, ''that Scarlett was a good enough person for Rhett, even at the end. And I doubt if he could ever have had a peaceful life with her. She had broken him down completely and really didn't repay him for it. I admire her - heaven knows - and only wish she could be happy. But - I don't know - one feels at the end that she can always take care of herself.''
