I did a similar artigo in the disney spot except in that one I talked about movies. I amor música so much and there’s so many songs that remind me of certain people and events so I wanted to talk about the ones involving just my family :)
Mom - Baby Mine from Dumbo
Because of my autism I was different from the other side kids in my classes. I got into trouble a lot and got made fun of a lot but my mom was there for me and she helped me feel better. Dumbo is one of my mom’s favorito disney movies. She played it a lot for us when we were kids and she did the same for her grandkids.
Dad - Jazzman from The Simpsons
I’ve never heard the original version, only the version played on The Simpsons which was kinda mine and my dad’s show. Every time I visited him I would always watch The Simpsons either on tape or tv. Even when I grew up he would put it on for me. He passed away a few months before my wedding so I sang the shortened version from The Simpsons in honor of my dad on my wedding day.
Oldest sister - Anything por Britney Spears
In the late 90s/early 00’s anytime my sister took me anywhere people would be asking “is that Britney Spears??” (Even though we live in a small town nobody heard of until Twilight so why would she be here? 😂) And whenever she drove me around in her car she mostly played Britney songs like Toxic and Oops I Did it Again
segundo oldest sister - Hey, Soul Sister por Train
I like this song now but when it first came out my sister had it playing in her car All. The. Time. I get in the car, “hey soul sister! Ain’t that mister mister-“ Middle of car ride “hey soul sister!” Getting out of car “hey soul-“ It got old kinda fast. I feel like a total hypocrite now because I listen to the same song when I get in my car 😋
Older sister - Anything por Spice Girls
My sister was a huge Spice Girls fan; she saw them in concert, had the poster, dressed up like Baby Spice, listened to the cd all the time, and she watched the Spice Girls movie almost every day. There’s a lot of other songs that remind me of her but the Spice Girls stand out the most for her
Husband - Call Me Maybe por Carly Rae Jepson
Somehow, this became our song. I don’t remember how, I don’t remember if it was the first song we listened together or if it’s because I used it for the first música video I made for him, I don’t know. But I wouldn’t want any other song to be ours. We even danced to a slow version of this song at our wedding
Cat - If I Had Words from Babe
For some reason I think of the movie Babe I think of my baby. I used to sing this lullaby to her every now and then, but not the dance 😂. The dia I had to put my baby down I held her in my arms and when we were alone I hummed this song for her one last time. When I look at her ashes or see pictures of her this song plays in my head. If I ever get another cat maybe I’ll sing this lullaby to it too.
Thank you for leitura my article! Any thoughts or feedback? I’d amor to see them!
