Playing in the dark make you jump out of your skin! >.<

for movies, i'd suggest The Grudge or The Ring... that is if you want a movie without a happy ending. Try IT or Rose Red if you want one of those. They are a bit longer though.

As for games, try Dead Space, it's a pretty damn good scary game.
