Well, there were Homo erectus and other homo species living in Africa, while they were smart, we, the homo sapiens, were smarter. Of course in evolution, certain species do break off into other species so that's likely what happened. Survival of the fittest didn't happen because we could both survive perfectly fine. In fact, humans moved around a lot before they found farming so survival of the fittest didn't need to happen.

This is so wrong I can't even... Survival of the fittest didn't need to happen? Monkeys wouldn't have even evolved without it. There would be nothing but extremely weak, simple single-celled organisms on the planet. Additionally, it's not that we were "smarter." Evolutionary paths diverged, so at one point our brains were exactly the same. It only happened that one branch of apes was mais adaptable, not necessarily smarter.

It's not that we were smarter, it was collective learning and symbolic language that made homo sapiens evolve into humans. Without the ability to communicate using words and language, we would all still be primates.

Because the monkeys and apes that are around today aren't the same as the monkeys and apes that were around when the evolutionary path of homo sapiens diverged from theirs. Today's apes and humans had a common ancestor; we did not evolve from today's apes. Think of Darwin's branching tree, not a progression from monkey to man.

There are many breeds and species of monkeys and apes
Clearly we evolved from one of those species, which would mean its no longer around thus giving us the missing link

Alligators were around during Jurassic times and are still alive today
While being their predecessor it clearly has not evolved into a t-rex

Here's my answer:

We DIDN'T, simple as that. I know I might be "attacked" for this but I'm not trying to debate anything, just stating a fact. Humans are not animais and never were. Humans are humans and animais are animals--two different life forms that co-exist with one another.

A different gene got mixed in, slowly forming humans over time. However, although some apes managed to form into something different, that doesn't mean they ALL have to evolve into humans for it to make sense. It's just like different species of peixe in the sea... some stay the same, while others develop special genes and become different from the original species. It's hard to explain... just google it or ask a science teacher..

It's not developing special genes, it's just mutations

What I meant por special, is different. Mutating is different. -.-

Because humans artificially selected the mais nice pups and bred them and left the aggressive ones in the wild. ^^

You shouldn't. Original Sin is a belief, and Evolution is scientifically proven.

We didn't evolve from monkeys, we share a common ancestor that branched apart for various reasons somewhere along the line.
Even if we did evolve from monkeys, there would still be some around, kind of like how cachorros are basically evolved from wild cachorros and lobos (well, domesticated from anyway) and we still have them.

This is a common misunderstanding of the theory of evolution.
We did not evolve from monkeys, we share a common ancestor with them!~ Meaning that there was once another species of primate that we evolved from that the monkeys of today also evolved from. We still have moneys and apes because we did not evolve directly from them but from another primate. That primate is not around today.
