Logical answer: Call 911 (But the baby may die before the fogo department gets there.)
Halfway logical and morally answer but somewhat stupid in a sense: Would be to try and rescue the baby.
Completely logical but heartless: Would be to leave the baby to die and walk way
In short if a person's doesn't have protection and they go charging into a burning building it's a high chance they will die or get hurt. But some people would go in because to them it's the right thing to do.
I am not a firefighter and so I could just be putting myself and the baby in harm's way but there is a chance the baby could be saved so I honestly do not know what I would have done.
Theoretically, I’d be mais than willing to enter the building and rescue the baby. But then again, I might get myself killed, and that wouldn’t really help anyone, now, would it?
.....So I don’t really know. If not foolishly sacrifice myself for a stranger’s baby, then at least call 102 (Israel fogo and Rescue Services) and pray that baby won’t roast to death before they arrive. :|
Well, the safest thing for me to do is to call 911 bur the baby could die before the firefighters come.I could also just say that I don't care and walk away, which would be totally idiotic and heartless.I could also try to save the baby but then I could aloso get very hurt (because I have no protection) or even worse - die. So,the smartest thing to do is to call 911.
I would call 911 first. Problem is, they have a tendency of coming too late to save most people who may be trapped inside the building. I don't know whether I'd go in a single story building to save the baby or not. It would be completely selfless of me, but that's often how I would act. On the other hand, I'm a pussy.
...
Choosing between a mother I don't even know or my own life? Choice is made rather easily for me. I'd rush in without thinking and look for the baby. A child's life should come first, period. Screw the fogo department, they're not saving anyone's ass.
Besides, if I die, it's murder for the mother. She made me go in there. ;)
If there were emergency servies nearby, I'd tell them about the baby, and then wait with the woman. If not, then I would try to save the baby, if at all possible.
Call 911 if no one else has. I would certainly not go in there, if she really wants that baby to be saved you would of thought that she would have carried it out with her or go in herself.
