What does a good friend mean to you?

Well, it's obvious really:

-Loyal
-Understanding
-Kind
-Doesn't agree with EVERYTHING you say, but doesn't oppose you all the time either
-Shares some, but not all interests with you
-Isn't too clingy or possessive
-Has a good sense of humour
-Respects me, my hobbies, etc. and my opinions


I could go on, but I think that's enough for now :)

a good friend is a person that is with you when your happy/sad. a friend makes you fell welcome and apreciated. a friend is someone you can trust

Actually, a good friend to me is someone who accepts me for who I am. That's pretty much all I expect.

Good friends are the only friends I really have.

All those good qualities of loyalty and such, but all of my close friends over the years have had a warped sense of humor. That is essential.

They must have an excellent sense of humor.
If you're going to be friends with me, you need a great sense of humor. That's an absolute must.
Not because I'm picky about that, it's because we probably won't get along otherwise.
I mess around a lot.

Uhh... they have to not be annoying? I get annoyed easily sometimes.
They have to be able to put up with my potential unhealthy homestuck obsession.
Or any obsession I have really.
Did I mention they need to have a good sense of humor?
They have to be there for me when I need them.
They have to be able to put up with my mood swings and pessimistic attitude.

To me, a good friend is someone who -

- is understanding
- is accepting
- is respectful
- is loyal
- share some hobbies or interest
- has a good sense of humor
- is open-minded
- makes you feel appreciated
- is kind
- trustworthy
- accepts you for who are, and doesn’t try changing you
- who listens to you
- isn’t clingy
- is someone you can trust

They won't talk about you to your other friends.
