what do you learn in french 1?

im in middle school but im required to take high school courses since im in the gifted program and i want to take french 1 since my dad is part french but what does that course cover?? is it for beginners??? i know a little bit of french already, like the numbers and as cores and greetings. would french 1 be good for me??
