It depends what your style is, people's tastes vary massively.

I personally usually choose to wear black or red to big events, it depends.

Black is elegant and sexy. You can almost never go wrong with black. It's easy to find matching shoes and it's incredibly stylish.

I also amor red because it's so bold, powerful. It makes a statement. If you want to stand out and look cute, red is a good choice.
