Do you believe that it is bad for you to hold in negative emotions?

Like, grief for a lost loved one that you were exceedingly close to? You were bullied and you have all of that hurt and anger? Emotions like that. Do you believe that if you never once expressed them and held them inside you until they seemed to have dissipated, that this can affect you in very negative ways? :(

I think it is good Idea to hold your emotions in until you fully understand them, or have cooled down enough to have the right reaction. If you full understand your feelings por holding them in and thinking about them then you can make the right decisions and mover on.
Of course holding them in and pretending everything is ok until it is also works too... *shrug* its really your choice how you want to deal with things...

You should never keep bad feelings inside, you should always talk to someone and tell them how you feel. Don't hold it inside or be angry. That's how people hold grudges, may even think of suicide and even suffer from depression for years. Which is a terrible way to live. If it's a small problem, the nevermind, you'll be fine later. I may get mad sometimes, but I know I have a lot to live for, and that keeps me happy and helps me bouce right back. That's why I HATE hwen people say they're depressed. They need to get their lives in order and know why they were put on this earth and know that there's way too much to live for.

Yes 100%. Being depressed is a choice. Being temporarily sad and being depressed are 2 different things.

I don't think it matters, honestly. I hold everything in, and I'm mais or less okay. But that might just be because I'm good at coping. I guess for some people it could have negative effects...

Negative emotions are not good at all,in some cases they can cause mais tension then it suppose to be. Negative thoughts can be related to loneliness too, so you try to figure out why you feel that way, what caused it and don't want anyone around. That's my case. Fear too,fear is related to this topic,all the bad,negative thoughts come from fear itself.

I let my emotions come out of my pencil onto paper in the form of art. Art vents could help a little with these emotions, because they're not bottled up anymore. That or writing. :)
