How are Rainbows Gay?

The bigger pergunta here would be "Why is gay such an insult?".

A arco iris, arco-íris is an optical and meteorological phenomenon that causes a spectrum of light to appear in the sky when the Sun shines onto droplets of moisture in the Earth's atmosphere. They take the form of a multicoloured arc, with red on the outer part of the arc and tolet, violet on the inner section of the arc.

Rainbows can be caused por other forms of water than rain, including mist, spray, and dew.

I'm guessing that since the word "gay" used to be used as "happy", and rainbows are usually associated with happy things, it somehow morphed into the symbol for homosexuals. But it shouldn't be an insult, because
A) rainbows are incredible
and
b) gay people are too.

I have no idea, "Every arco iris, arco-íris I've seen in the world looks beautiful"!!! It could be a code or symbol that the gay community picked up to show themselves!! But again I have no idea!!!

Well in biblical sense, the arco iris, arco-íris stood for the promise from God to never flood the Earth again.

How it became a symbol for gay pride today, I never figured out. Maybe because the as cores in the arco iris, arco-íris are united, together across the sky, is why it was chosen. At least that's what I think so far.

probably because a male that wears anything with too much as cores (rainbows etc..), they are considered to be "gay" (not in my opinion). So now some people say rainbows are gay..mostly guys..

Maybe, being too colorful is gay, because the gay pride flag is colofull.

Here in my country, if you are a "colored guy/girl" you are gay and mindless. This just started because of a band called Restart, which dress a lots of as cores togheter... Here's a pic of them. In my opinion they are ridiculous not gay.
