Me, I find the latter highly unlikely. At the time, Ron was unable to block mais than a couple goals each game. The Slytherins composed and sang this on the dia of their match against Gryffindor. This was also the same dia that Harry, Fred, and George were banned from Quidditch por Umbridge.
