It was a sunny dia in Cloverbush Town, and there wasn't a nuvem in the sky. I decided to take a stroll through the nearby woods.
"Bye, Mom, I'll see you later!" I shouted.
"By back por dinner, dear!" she called out, as I dashed into the forest.
I wandered around aimlessly, and enjoyed the luscious scenery. But, before I knew it, it was dark, and rain started pouring down. I heard thunder clap in the distance. I tried to find the exit, but soon realized I was hopelessly lost. I was exhausted, and I couldn't run anymore. Soaking wet, I sat down on a log, hidden under the shelter of a large leaf.
Suddenly, I heard snarling. I whipped my eyes open, and saw I was surrounded por a pack of Mightyena. I started to panic, and I thought they were about to maul me. I closed my eyes again.
"Capture complete!" a voice cried.
I opened my eyes to see a boy with dirty blonde hair and stunning green eyes, waving around what looked like a Capture Styler. The pack of Mightyena ran off, and he whirled around to look at me.
"Hey, are you okay?" he asked, his eyes sparkling.
"Yes, I'm f-fine..." I stammered, finally noticing how cold I was.
"Here, let me get you home," he offered. I smiled, and grabbed his hand. He pulled me up off the log.
"I'm Alec, por the way," he said smoothly, the corners of his mouth pulling up into a grin.
"I'm Gina," I replied, smiling lightly. "Thank you for helping me back there."
"No problem. It's a Ranger's duty to help those in need," he answered.
Soon, Cloverbush Town was in sight.
"I best be going. Don't get lost again, ya hear?" he told me, as I stood in front of my door.
"Okay. See you around, Alec," I whispered, glad it had stopped raining. He dashed off, his partner Cranidos trailing behind him.
I sighed, and creaked open the door, with my overly concerned mother staring at me.
"Gina!" she shrieked, running over to me. "What happened? I was so worried!"
"I got lost in the forest, but a ranger named Alec showed me the way back home," I answered.
"Well, thank god you made it back alright!" she squealed.
I fake yawned. "Ahh... I'm gonna go to bed. That was exhausting..." I muttered as I slumped up the stairs.
"Goodnight, dear..." she whispered as I closed my bedroom door.
I tossed and turned in cama all night. I couldn't stop thinking about the mysterious boy named Alec.
There's something different about him, I can feel it...
---------------------------------
I groggily got out of bed, got dressed, and slipped out the back door, avoiding detection por my mom. half a segundo later, I was on the ground, a figure looming over me.
"Sorry," Alec laughed, helping me up. He handed me a Poke Ball. "You left this in the woods."
"Thank you," I said sincerely, tossing the Poke Ball up in the air to release my beloved Leafeon.
"Hey, could we be friends?" he asked, completely changing the subject.
I laughed. "Sure. I mean, you saving me from a mauling pretty much closed that deal."
He chuckled and smirked at me, obviously pleased with my answer. "Well, then... could I show you something?" Without allowing me time to answer, he started drawing a strange symbol with his Styler. I suddenly heard a Staraptor cry, and sure enough, one swooped down. It picked up Alec and I in one rápido, swift move, and we were immediately soaring through the clouds.
I was in shock and awe at the same time. "This...this is incredible!" I shouted. I could see all of Canndon from up here.
"I know, right? It's amazing," he replied in pure awe, just as I was. His Styler began beeping out of nowhere.
"Alec, this is Jaide. There's a massive DareDevil attack in Moonstar City! Get down there, now!"
"I'm on my way!" he told the transmission. He glaced over at me, his eyes capturing mine. "Hold on tight!" he exclaimed, as Staraptor began to dip into Moonstar City. There was a large crowd of shady people, along with a girl in bright neon standing in the middle. The people were hiding, scared of what was happening, and the Pokemon were out of control. Alec dismounted off the Staraptor, as I fell off from the impact of landing.
"Gina, I'll handle this. Try to stay out of trouble," he explained, before running off deal with these so-called DareDevils...
I had perguntas ringing in my head.
Who were the DareDevils? Why are the Rangers so worried about them? What is truly going on in Canndon?
