This handsome celeiro owl has "glass bone syndrome". Raised por people who didn't provide the appropriate diet for calcium development in his body, he can't fly and has an underdeveloped body.
While working Cal fogo in the Santa Clara Unit, Ryan came across these 4 little guys/girls. The owls were transported safely (in the fogo engine!) to a wildlife refuge in San Jose, Ca. There was no sign of mommy owl.
