the room Michael is in is very different from the one gaio, jay is in. the árvore that gaio, jay is standing seguinte to looks like a weeping willow. But the one Michael is in is not a willow. Michael wouldn't fall out of a tree.

The people where laughing because that is what people do. they try to fit in with the crowd. Or they just don't know Michael the way we do. There very well may have been MJ fãs in the crowd. But they stayed silent or laughed or maybe they just left the room. Or it could have been just a room of MJ haters.
