hmmm
I'm glad she finally talked. But she sounds rather cynical, bitter, and unhopeful at points (especially about possibly returning to reprise her role). It's unlike how she normally is; there's more to this story that we aren't getting.

^ I agree. It seems like something big went down behind the scenes, which is a shame because that makes it unlikely that she will come back at some point.

^^I know that DS is hopeful about her returning and speaks highly of her. Which is different than his normal tirade. I'm inclined to think they are going to fight for her. I hope that she reconsiders

When you reread the article again it's not as bad as the first time. I think I read it withy own preconceptions the first time. The remark about picking up the phone comes off as more of her laughing than snarky at first. More along the lines of well that's news to me.

I don't think it was bad. I do think that as @HuddyJoy said there is more to this. I don't think this was just about money. I am not sure if it was creative or maybe LE is trying to open her career up knowing that House is ending. Maybe with the screen time she was offered it would have damaged her career at this point more than helped it.
Explanation of what I just said: She gained a lot of popularity and it was enough for "The Good Wife" to take notice of her. She has a good personality, she worked hard at promoting this show, and she is gorgeous and until this season the chemistry was amazing. So I think it was more than just one thing and I am not so sure that because they were going in such a different direction that she was going to see very little screen time and maybe she thought about her future and that if she was going to make a move it had to be now. If she had waited and had little screen time she wouldn't have been quite as good of a commodity. She is coming off a "People's Choice Award" which indicates to TV networks she has popularity.
I am still hopeful that they will bring her back and I think probably we are going to find out with the direction they want to take House this was not a bad thing.
Again I hated the finale and I didn't agree with it but from where we are now I think this may be the best because they were just going to cut her out I believe. They wanted to take House in a different direction. Just an idea
Just an opinion.

@Tammy--it probably would be really boring to fall back into ----no House that's a crazy idea--oh wait I guess you were right again for 5 minutes every episode if that.

@mysuspicionis - I think maybe the most prophetic thing said through the season was by Lisa: "You can't go backwards" and it remains to be seen if they can take House backwards and pull it off. With very little focus on Cuddy it may be a lot harder than they think. It is kind of like having an elephant in the room. (No pun intended to "Moving On.") If anybody can do it Hugh would be the man.

I'll still watch season 8 for 'tradition' sake, but I'm not that excited about it. Cuddy was a very important piece in the show, and now the balance is broken. It was hard enough(at least for me) to watch House and Cuddy break up, but to watch her leave the show? I think it was the final drop(and let's not even talk about that absurd season finale...). They could just have made the deal with Lisa E (and paid what she wanted). I wouldn't even mind if they had braken as long as she was still on the show. The chemistry between Hugh and Lisa is amazing and it used to be (almost always) what I longed for in every episode. My fingers are still crossed for her return. Who knows? Maybe she'll apear in the last 5 ep? It's all up to DS now(and Lisa to accept, but I think she will, she's awesome).

I agree with Tammy on the not going back part. To me, the show ended when they left Greg House with no redeeming qualities anymore. With Huddy, there was always some hope and some glimmer that he had a soft and human side. With Lisa gone, I can't see them going down that path again and I don't want to see another lame attempt at a love relationship for him. I also don't blame Lisa for leaving. I think that with the "hope" for Huddy there was always the idea she might get more screen time and more exposure. When they ended Huddy, any possibility of more screen time was also gone. I guess I have my idea about how I think Huddy would have gone and I prefer it to what we saw on the screen. IF they have her come back and end this show with some understanding between Huddy that would lead to the idea they WOULD end up together...I will watch then. Until then I just don't think I can.
