hmmm
I am afraid to say they are right...as much as I love House, I have to admit this episode was far from interesting...the Foreman/Thirteen's issue had no intensity at all, at least compared to the brilliant episode in which she was about to lose her sight and that one in which House wanted them to choose between staying togheter or work for him and they fooled him so cleverly...Taub's quitting happened absolutely out of the blue...again no intensity, no emotions, no dilemmas, nothing. Let alone House and Cuddy? What was that?? Was that a dialogue? Where was the tension? Come on! Those two hadn't seen each other for months....where is the embarassment, the tension and the struggle of emotions??....why do they suddenly are so able to open up with each other?? " I will miss you??" Is that something she woulnd ever said to him?? I am ok with House trying to be happy...as long as they all stay in their chacarters....I know, people change, things evolve but not so suddenly and surely not so thouroughly....and where is the House/Wilson chemistry?? Long story short...it was a bit boring to tell the truth...let's hope they will chatch up with the show spirit along the way...House premiere was great! Different, but still awesome...I'll try to remember that, and forget about this lame episode...

I didn't like the episode as well. I thought the House/Wilson/Cuddy scenes were good. As I thought about it throughout the day. I thought this episode was a filler episode. It was there to move the story along. So is the episode great no.. Is it even good.. hmm that might be streching. So I think of it as a filler episode.

totally agree with you on that, that's a waste though, they could have done better...they could try to focus on the other characters for example...how was they doing during the time House spent in the asylum? And Chase and Cameron? didn't this affect them at all? and Cuddy? They could have done an episode made of falshbacks...that would have been interesting...more dramatic...maybe they could have interweaved them with the medical mistery...as the episode in which we come to discover about the history on House's leg...

I liked the episode, but they filled it with a lot of Foreteen stuff...

I agree about the flashbacks to show the reactions/actions of the other characters and how they responded to/dealt with House's absence. The re-entrance of House at the hospital seemed prosaic, certainly compared to the richness of the responses to House in crisis during past seasons...and why didn't Cameron and Chase visit him? It was disappointing that this seemed to given a fleeting comment and no follow up. This show seemed to be treading water somehow...as if the writers were unsure how to proceed and were tentatively looking for character development and defining moments.

I don't know. I really enjoyed the episode. I thought everyone was funny and witty and that for the first time I liked the Foreteen relationship, at least until the firing. The patient of the week was boring but everything else was really fun. The scenes with House/Cuddy/Wilson were some of my favorites. Also I saw tension on Cuddy's face when she confronted House. To me, she seemed hesitant in telling him that she would miss him but then decided it was now or never.

I agree with this:
"In the plus column, we saw House actually trying new things and seeming to be sincere in the pursuit — progress or something like it! We also got to see Wilson, who is awesome, and Andre Braugher was back (all too briefly) as House’s capable and interesting therapist."
and the bit where they said about House suddenly being the best cooker ever.

The rest not so much, I liked the epi.

Epic Fail was a bit busy and choppy. House was cookin' tho - as was Wilson.
I was hoping for a more defined transition from Mayfield in relation to the PP folks.
Foreman jumping in as boss was abrubt and awkward. It could be that the 2 hour
opener was just soooo good and I was still "savoring" that EP, though I would like to savor whatever House put on that cracker for 13. Yum.

i actually thought as a whole it was a rather amusing episode, but they could have and more Huddy awkardness. I mean, they were like fine, and they really aren't lmao. But yeah, it was funny, but it could have been much better with the emotion and tension etc. TBH i didn't expect it to be good at all, but i enjoyed it. It was far too easy to watch for House though ;)
