Hogwarts House Rivalry! Pergunta

In what ways is YOUR house flawed?

And don't you DARE say "we're perfect" because I will scold you calmly.
*
Slytherin is flawed because we often turn evil. Great ambition leads us to do anything for power, and self-preservation tells us to look after ourselves and not care for others.

Hogwarts House Rivalry! Respostas

Poseidon3 said:
My house, Gryffindor is flawed because we can be very impulsive and often can take our bravery to the point of recklessness. And sadly, some of us can be rather arrogant. Like Cormac Mclaggen and James Potter in his youth. I amor this pergunta because we're admitting that are houses are not perfect.

Why are Hufflepuffs flawed? Well, I think that sometimes our personalities are not bold enough, allowing us to fall into the back round, unnoticed.

I never thought about it, but I think Puffs are actually the least flawed...Slytherins and Gryffindors are the most :P Or at least, most noticably flawed!

Well, Zacharias Smith was very annoying and I don't see why he was a Hufflepuff because he wasn't fair or considerate when he was commenting and he didn't fight with the DA at the Battle of Hogwarts, showing cowardice and disloyalty.

Ravenclaw is flawed because we have prideful tendencies. This makes a lot of Ravenclaws stuck up know-it-alls. We also tend to do the logical thing instead of the right thing.

Slytherin is flawed because we sometimes like to follow in the footsteps of what we are stereotyped to be; evil.

Gryffindors make rash decisions that can often be stupid and lead to horrible outcomes.

For example, in book five, Harry rushed to save Sirius, when all ano everyone had urged him to learn Occlumency. >.>

Also, we can be a bit out-spoken, and tend to be stubborn and hot-tempered, which sometimes can annoy other people.

Like all the other Gryffindors said, bravery can lead us to make very rash (and sometimes stupid) desicions. Also, we are stereotyped to be goody two-shoes, always doing the right thing, but NOBODY always does the right thing. Anyway, no one house can be perfect. We all have flaws. So post them, and be a good sport about them! ;P

We're stereotyped to be goody two -shoes? I thought that was the Hufflepuffs.

No, I don't think you're goody-two-shoes. How could you? the trio ALWAYS broke the rules, and we know the Marauders did too. If anything, you'd be steretyped as rule breakers!

We're stereo-typed to be the good guys, but that's not a bad thing. It doesn't mean we are flawed.

I don't know how general this is but I do notice a tendency for me to ponder over a decision in all eternity, I twist and turn all the pros and cons and never make a decision sometimes, it can be really frustrating.

Us Gryffindors are flawed because we could be full of ourselves. We act with the first thing that comes to our mind, which is almost never a good thing.

Why is it all Gryffindors that are answering this basically? I mean ours has mais responses than any others. None of us have turned evil at least, (Pettigrew joined Voldemort out of fear.) And Lexa, I know you're going to scold me and say I'm not thinking but truthfully I am. You said yourself that "great ambition leads [you] to do anything for power and self preservation tells [you] to look after [yourselves] and not care for others", thus turning a lot of you guys evil. The evil Slytherins sadly outnumber the exceptions to this rule such as Andromeda, Slughorn,Snape, Narcissa, and Draco. Our chivalry and loyalty allows us to be Valente and not turn to the Dark Side. We also stand up for ourselves and the cause that is truly just and right, and we do anything we can to help. Paraphrasing what angelcap said, there a lot of ways in Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs are the same.
