Kind of a tough call for me this week. I really think Melissa's got a good shot, but in the last two episodes I haven't seen her take charge. She hasn't really done anything wrong, but Rock seems to have picked up his game near the end of today's episode. I felt like he's beginning to act the way an executive chef should act. I guess he wasn't willing to take charge earlier since they were all cooks acting under Chef Ramsey (in his mental version of the kitchen hierarchy). Julia was really in her element in this episode and I'm glad that Joanna got the boot. She seemed to be all attitude and no skills over the last three episodes.

I agree. I think Ramsey was really testing Rock this week when he was picking on him, but Rock showed that he can cook, can lead and has character (how about the way he's helped Aaron all the way?).

Julia is still the dark horse to me (but my fave contestant). She has a real, but long shot at making it into the finals. This week she demonstrated that she not only was capable of cooking but that she could control a kitchen (how about when she took over the men's kitchen for the breakfast service?). She's still getting knocked for not knowing "haute cuisine" but if she can learn a few tricks between now and the finale, she may be ok. After all, Ramsay is a big fan of simple and straight-forward flavors with fresh ingredients (per his other tv shows).

Melissa, Bonnie and Jen should ask themselves this: can they pump it out on the line and can any of them control the kitchen? Melissa seems to be the only one of the 3 that can do it. So Bonnie really ought to "button it" (to use Gordon-speak) and lay off Julia. Bonnie and Jen appear to be the weakest female links at this point.

Oh and big props to Julia for showing some serious integrity when she prevented Jen from serving garbage pasta AND didn't snitch on the whole affair to Ramsey.

Surprised no one has voted for Melissa yet. She looks like the strongest woman out there. I still think Rock will take it down in the long run, but Melissa has a real chance to give him problems near the finale.

The women were totally wrong to put Julia on the block last week. They're right that she doesn't know as much, and I don't think she can make it very far, but she's a work horse and can help the team. Rotten seafood and trashed spaghetti, or a lack of knowledge?
