It's the other way round for me. Excuding the fact that I find both the CoS and the HBP Tom Riddle quite handsome, I like charming villains who have a kind of 'bewitching aura' around them and who can fool everyone, or a majority at least, into thinking there is nothing evil about them whatsoever. the Dark Lord is one of my favourite characters, so obviously I like 'present' Lord Voldemort as well, but I also think who would have achieved much more and probably won, had he remained Tom Riddle and bent the Ministry to his will instead of fighting it.
