Is Murdoc a human?

He looks too ugly to be a human plus he's green, has a long tongue, pure evil, and his eyes can appear to be yellow. He's very demon like

About Murdoc, he seems to be a little bit of both. I mean, with all that dark magic he can't get away without being possessed at least once.
