directly into the pop culture storm of Comic-Con International on Friday (July 22), to break down all of those shocking season six cliffhangers and preview what\'s to come.
Our little birds carry all of the juiciest gossip from the Seven Kingdoms far and wide - so, here are some of the biggest talking points from the Rob McElhenney-hosted Q&A:
\'s shortened seventh (and penultimate) season would be moved from spring to summer 2017, fans understandably grumbled.
It turns out that producers aren\'t just trying to torture you with a long wait – winter really
"Winter is here, and we have to shoot in places where there are trees. We have to wait until leaves fall off… There\'s no way to get the show out there until summer," producer David Benioff explained.

Walking Dead season 7 air date finally announced
It was impossible not to notice a twinge of jealousy from Sansa Stark in the season six finale \'Winds of Winter\' when her half-brother Jon Snow was crowned King in the North.
After all, it was Sansa\'s call for help from the Knights of the Vale that led the Stark army to take back Winterfell from the occupying Bolton forces.
"I think [Sansa] believed it was probably more of a joint effort in terms of the Battle of the Bastards. She thinks they should be King and Queen of the North. I\'m not so sure she\'s so keen on the Iron Throne anymore," said Sophie Turner.
"I\'m not sure she thinks Jon is capable of running Winterfell and the North… She doesn\'t think he has the intellect, the knowledge or the experience that she has. I concur!"
Will Jon Snow ever find out that R+L=J ?
Among the more stunning revelations of the past season was the confirmation of long-bubbling fan theory R+L=J – a code for book readers\' guesswork that Jon\'s parents were actually Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen (meaning Jon is NOT Ned Stark\'s bastard – as he\'d been led to believe all of his life).
character who knows this secret is Jon\'s half-brother Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) – and, well, he\'s a bit nervous to deliver the news.
"I presume he\'ll somehow tell Jon. I\'m not sure how he\'ll respond when Bran shows up and says, \'I\'m a tree wizard
your dad isn\'t your dad\'," Hempstead Wright joked during Friday\'s panel.
With Daenerys Targaryen now actually on her way to conquer Westeros with a fleet of armed forces backing her play, it\'s only natural to wonder what becomes of her trusted aide Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel).
Your guess is as good as Nathalie Emmanuel\'s, it seems.
"It\'s hard to know what the future brings for her but I think that she genuinely believes in Daenerys and her claim," Emmanuel said.
"Daenerys has saved her life and liberated her and acknowledged her brilliance. These are women who respect and lift each other up. It\'s a really sweet friendship, so I kind of hope that Missandei continues to support Daenerys and they continue to be this Girl Power couple."
Will \'Battle of the Bastards\' director Miguel Sapochnik be back next year?
When he was left off the list of next season\'s first four directors, fans wondered if Emmy-nominated filmmaker Miguel Sapochnik was leaving
While Sapochnik\'s revelation during Friday\'s discussion that he won\'t be working on the 2017 episodes was disappointing, he received a massive cheer when asked about 2018\'s final season.
"I would very much hope [to come back]. Yes," he smiled.
Ah, the all-important question of who wins the Game of Thrones. Cersei Lannister is currently seated on the Iron Throne – but surely she has too many enemies for it to last?
With Starks now controlling the North again, Littlefinger\'s machinations and a genuine Targaryen restoration all taking place – the fate of the Iron Throne is truly up in the air.
"I think I\'d want Littlefinger on the throne," Sophie Turner admitted. "I just think it\'d be fun. It\'d be quirky, sadistic! We like that kind of thing. Come on! We all watch
Liam Cunningham – aka Ser Davos – is banking on the undead: "The only hint we have of this is George RR Martin said the ending will be \'bittersweet\' and that doesn\'t give too much away.
"Knowing the deranged minds we\'re dealing with on this show… I have an image of a White Walker seated on the Iron Throne. The Night King with a leg over an arm, smoking a cigar!"
"I think the throne\'s probably not going to be important by the end of the show," Kristian Nairn – who played much-missed Hodor – reckons. "I think there will be a huge battle between the Night King and Daenerys.
"I think Westeros deserves someone with honour and integrity, so I think Brienne would be good!"
Surely Lord Varys (Conleth Hill) and his little birds have some inside scoop on who wins the Game of Thrones in the end?
"I know, but I can\'t say," the sly Conleth teased, drawing a massive laugh from Hall H.
