I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Hassan joins the cast, Nutter nominated for DGA Award and Sean feijão on being in Game of Thrones | Watchers on the mural | A Game of Thrones Community for Breaking News, Casting, and Commentary
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
continues to rack up the nominations as the Director’s Guild of America (DGA) Awards draw near. Cast interviews also come pouring in this time of year from members new and old for simply no one can resist dishing on what’s to come or reminiscing past seasons.
We also have another new cast addition to share with you today!
Firstly, let us all congratulate David Nutter for his DGA Award nomination for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in a Dramatic Series (
– Mother’s Mercy)! For the full list of nominations, head on over to the
Next we have a full length interview with Larry King and Sean Bean where the actor discusses past projects such as
Notably, Bean says he’d like to play Ned again but doesn’t see it as a real possibility.
Lastly, we have a piece of casting news. British actor Tamer Hassan is reportedly playing a Dothraki role on
” Hassan says. “I loved it. I can’t say too much about it but I’m part of that.” He mentioned, “It’s exciting what you’re going to see,” and added. “Learning that Dothraki language was a feat in itself… so I’ve given you a little bit but I’m not going to say too much!”

Wow at the number of Dothrakis with spoken lines this season !
Hassan tweeted about being in Belfast a couple months ago and I’d wondered if he was on the show, but there was no proof of any kind so…ah well.
No nomination for Sapochnik again? It’s surprising that he is being ignored this award season.
Even David Nutter has been nominated for Mother’s Mercy, not Dance of Dragons. Maybe these award shows balk at showing recognition for episodes with a high fantasy content in them, who knows.
I am very happy for David Nutter, and like you am disappointed for Mighel Sapochnik! A brilliant director overlooked again!
Alan Rickman. My one and only Snape. He is gone, he is gone.
Rest in peace my dear Mr. Rickman. You will never be forgotten.
Like Bowie, he passed from cancer too, at the same age of 69…things tend to come in three’s. *whimpers*
*melts back down to a puddle of too much grief, too short a time*
I cried when I found out. I love Alan Rickman and I don’t know what to do now: shall I watch one of his films again? Will it help or will it make me cry again?
I really want to see the return of Sean Bean in a flashback, or a vision; hell, I’ll take him woven into a tapestry at this point, I just want to see him one last time.
I’m right with you. It’s difficult to think of anything else. I think I will watch Truly Madly Deeply and dissolve in my puddle of tears!
Looks like GRRM is really serious when he said dothraki are coming back with a bang in a big way during winds …can’t wait to see what’s going to happen …
Yes, RIP Alan Rickman. What a shitty week for celebrity deaths, right?
Right? Yet another Dothraki character! By my count, we’re up to eight known cast members: Joe Naufahu as Khal Jhaqo, Andrei Claude as Khal Rhalko, Elie Haddad as another khal, Souad Faress as the High Priestess of the Dosh khaleen, Diogo Sales as a bloodrider, Staz Nair, Chuku Modu and Tamer Hassan. Then there are quite a few casting calls, which may overlap with some of those cast actors: two Dothraki by the name of Qhogo and Akrat; a long-haired Dothraki; two young Dothraki; a Dothraki in his 30’s or 40’s; and a group of “warrior widows” (the rest of the dosh khaleen).
Surely, most of them will simply have a few lines, though Khal Jhaqo may be a full-fledged character. Still, it’s quite shocking, after four or five years without a major Dothraki presence.

I am just getting in to work and I have to fight back the tears for real. Many don’t know it, but I was a moderator at a very large LotR’s site for years and my handle there was Severus Snape. I loved this man so. My heart aches for his family and all the fans.
I will hold you as we virtually watch a great movie together. ((hugs)) You bring the Kleenex. I’ll bring the butterbeer. *tears*
We are going to need a larger theater and there just isn’t enough Kleenex on the planet today.
I guess im old, I first think of Rickman as Hans Gruber. Cancer sucks
Lets see where to start: Truly Madly Deeply (which was one of the first movies my future husband and I watched. When I saw him tear up about the same time I did, I knew….) Quigley Down Under, Die Hard, Robin Hood (and he’s the only reason I’d watch it), and oh yeah Harry Potter….sigh Oh and Galaxy Quest and Emma…
I guess im old, I first think of Rickman as Hans Gruber.Cancer sucks
It is hard not to think of Snape first….but my first impression of Alan Rickman and where I came to love him was as Marston in Quigley Down Under, then Die Hard. I loved him in Sense and Sensibility too. He was just a great actor, taken too soon as was David Bowie. *sniffles*
I just remembered him as the blue caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland, that great voice that he had, so recognizable.
Oops, not Emma, Sense and Sensibility. And he was Marvin the Paranoid Android in Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy. Oh man….
Raise your wands, everyone. Rest in peace Professor Snape, a true hero.
Damn.. Alan left no children, so my thoughts go to his wife. My sincere condolences.
Yeah I loved him in his villainous roles , he was superb as Hans Gruber and especially awesome as the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood prince of thieves .
Dang there are a lot more awards progroms than i ever heard of before now. I like the little kernel of hype this dude Hassan threw out. Poor Sean, i really do think he would have enjoyed playing on the show longer than he got to.
Shocked when i heard. Sense and sensibility is a movie with him that i also own. I watched last night. Very sad. Excellent actor, professional, and great screen presence.
Thank you. I haven’t seen TMD… by now, because I have just found it online and I’m preparing to watch.
smitzzz: Yeah I loved him in his villainous roles , he was superb as Hans Gruber and especially awesome as the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood prince of thieves .
“I’m going to find Robin Hood and cut his heart out with a spoon.”
“Because it’s Dull you twit, it’ll hurt more!”
A larger theatre it is! And apparently we are watching various films at the same time which is all right, only the sky is the limit. For me it’s
will play for me. I know nothing about this film and I’m anxious to find out. If art could cure life any time… *sighs*
Mother’s Mercy was the better of the two, which is probably why it was nominated
Raise your wands, everyone. Rest in peace Professor Snape, atrue hero.
Just beautiful! I’m sure Alan would like that.
I wonder how big Hassans role is. Anybody seen him in The Foorball Factory. He had quite a large supporting role as the leader of a rival gang of hooligans, and he was terrifying, had a great screen presence. BTW still no news on the Damphairs casting? I realize Im becoming annoying with these questions, and I apolligise, but I’m dying here. I’m so affraid it’s gonna be like the varamyr Sixskins casting last year, a red heering, but I gues the reportage were solid enough as the Damphair was actually spotted. I’m espicially intriqued by the rumors that he sported long white hair and beard, instead of the black mane from the books. That sounds like an awsome visual gag for the character
By Grabthar’s Hammer, 2016 sucks. It’s Die Hard and Galaxy Quest for me today, I think.
A great Rasputin, leading to a great Snape…RIP Alan Rickman. Another unique voice lost too soon, but at least his voice and presence will live on in memorable tales for future generations.
A great blossoming of Dothraki roles this season…Drogon shall never go hungry.
After so many Dothraki being cast it’s going to be funny when they get half a line each in a single scene and are never heard from again. It’s like if we cared this much before season 1 and were going nuts with speculation every time a Northerner was cast for the King in the North scene. Like, “Holy shit, that has to be Maege Mormont, so this other random dude must be Galbart Glover…they must already be setting up Robb’s will!”
@ Sean Bean – I LOVE HIS FACE!! NEDDDD <3
I dont quite get the excitement about the dothraki. They’ll each probably have a scene or two with like five lines. This one cast now however seems to be the bigger name, he might have more screen time.
Anyway…..the world needs more Sean Bean. Much more. My #1.
I’d be getting a complex if I was Sapochnik. It’s bordering on ridiculous.
A special toast to those of us who knew and loved him pre-Potter.
I didn’t forget it; just didn’t want to disparge a movie so many people love. But for me, his scenes where the only part of the movie I found at all believable or interesting. He and Emma Thompson killed it – I would have loved a spin off with just those two characters
BTW Shy Dragon Lady, have boxes of kleenex ready!
”Cancel the kitchen scraps for lepers and orphans! No more merciful beheadings! And cancel Christmas!”
Hasn’t filming been over for almost a month now?
Hans Gruber and Marvin were my favorite Rickman’s characters.
I’ve never watched a Harry Potter movie. I’m a horrible person, I know.
Dothraki overload. Mostly brawn and not much else. Can’t say they rock my boat tbh. The least interesting characters….thus far at least, sorry.
I recently rediscovered Alan while watching the Harry Potter movies this Christmas for the first time. When they came out I didn’t watch them because I didn’t like the hype. I had already seen Alan Rickman in Die Hard, Sweeney Todd, Love Actually, … and I was impressed with his special voice. But in Harry Potter he was amazing, he was by far my favourite character. I was really shocked when I read on my phone on the train that he had died. I would have loved to see him in more movies, but I guess I’ll have to rewatch the old ones… RIP Mr Rickman
And to be on topic. I would love to see Sean Bean again in Game of Thrones. I also knew him from before (Lord of the Rings etc), but I really started to like him since Game of Thrones.
Just wanna add my voice and say… dammit, all of these amazing, talented people are leaving us in the last month or so. Scott Weiland, Lemmy, Natalie Cole, David Bowie… and now Alan Rickman. Fuck everything. >:(
Anyway, congrats to Hassan… and here’s to a trailer for S6 sometime soon to hopefully help lift peoples’ spirits a bit.
It says the dates are from July-December 2016 when season 7 films. Please read the article before you post it .

His last role will be as the Blue Caterpillar in Alice through the Looking Glass, it will be an emotional one hearing him for the last time at the cinema

Scott broke my damn heart. Alan Rickman may have caused a compound fracture.
Alan Rickman, what a talented and accomplished actor we’ve lost. His line in Robin Hood about using a spoon- that takes me back. Classic.
So with all these Dothraki cast, I’ve been thinking. Surely many are destined to join Drogon for dinner- but could we meet a couple Dothraki this season that may be around for awhile? Maybe cross the narrow sea with Dany? I hadn’t given much thought to any Dothraki actually making the voyage, but it seems if any Dothraki will follow her across it would make sense to meet some of the would be leaders of that contingent now.
Thanks for the heads up. That would be sweet to see Season 7 film.

Or rather they’ll be joining Drogon for a BBQ if you catch my drift
You were right, I’ve been crying almost during the entire
, but what a film! I’m glad for you that you have found a husband to appreciate the same things like you. After watching I felt intense gratitude that the man I love is alive. I guess one should be grateful for lots, lots of things one takes for granted.
always good to get more news, really hope Nutter wins the award.
Is Deny really going to march 100 thousand, raping, murdering Dothraki into Westoros so that peace can break out?

I’ve been thinking the same thing. I’d bet one or two of these Dothraki will survive and become actual characters who follow Dany on her journey.
