Is Peter's Mum Dead?? If So How??

I know it seems a pretty gruesome pergunta but i was thinking and we never see her and my mum said she is dead, but i would like to know how??

It was a tad boring....we all pretty much knew Peter was from the other side, they just smoothed out the details....So I didn't feel like I wasted my time
