Does fanpop have VIRUS?

I've been on fanpop for quite some time, and I'm almost certainly sure it's safe, or at least as seguro as any other small-scale social networking site. The only way in which I think you could get a virus from it is if you clicked on a dodgy advert or link that went to another page, but even then I haven't seen many of them on here either. The good thing about fanpop is that unlike Facebook/Twitter etc there aren't any business pages or anything like that; the whole site revolves around what normal people post for their own enjoyment, the only adverts are of companies who actually pay to have their advert there. As a result, because everyone's in charge of their own stuff, it's almost like a site run por moderators; it's everyone's site, in a way. I might be wrong, but I think it seems pretty safe, at least in terms of viruses or malware. Just out of interest, do you have any anti-malware/virus software on your computer? I'm pretty sure some of them tell you if any sites you go on have viruses or malicious content in.

Make sure you were not on a website known for a virus on your web browser. If your laptop/ computer uses windows and I mean almost any brand of it except XP, Then you must go to the task manager and look up anything in the detail and service sections for anything very weird and look it up. If you have any old thing that can be used por a hacker, say like a old version of AOL please get rid of it... I had to get rid of a lot of things that originated within an old version of AOL and if you do the uninstall for a few minutos and then interrupt it, then it should fix that problem in most cases. But for anything else try going into your recovery menu of your computer and if it has a previously saved state then use it as I recommend and try to see if it works with the recent... if not then go for an older one. I hoped this helped.

I'm here since 2009 and there never was an incident of this sort. I have Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and McAfee on board, though.

It works fine for me but it's your choice if you want to leave or not.

Do you have screenshots of this Virus? I think that your Computer has a Virus instead.

I never got a "Fanpop Virus". One of my new friends on here said she might get one or something... But, I can asure you that I've been on here for about a month, and I NEVER got A SINGLE VIRUS from fanpop at all.

Well if it does I couldn't tell, my computer was really old and got blue screens all the time no matter what site I was on.

As of now I have a new computer and a laptop so far and it's been about a ano I haven't gotten one on either. I'm kind of just waiting for it to happen at this point.
