It threw me that Ultra-feminist "vibe" right away. I'm not excited for this movie.

I just watched the trailer and it looks really fun & adventurous -- I'm personally looking forward to seeing it! I don't know if I'd call it another feminist agenda movie though. It's definitely clear Raya is skilled in combat and probably has some leadership skills, as she's trying to save Kumandra. But it doesn't really feel like forced feminism to me.

Too early too tell and make judgements.

BTW there's nothing wrong with feminism. I just hope that it's not another Moana and that it pushes an agenda where the character is a Mary Sue (already a competent fighter, everyone os wrong except her, and isn't flawed) that don't need no man (and gets praised bc the character is single), or that she's much better than the boys and is rude to them and celebrated for it. I doubt the latter will happen though since she seems like the loner type.

I know I went on a rant there but I've seen these tropes going on for a long time and it's old and boring, and not really helping anyone.

Anyone who voted "agree" should give up their woman card.
