Same as before. POTW reprise was nice, but the scene was utterly disturbing for me to watch. Ariel sings and rubs the guys face constantly while he's unconscious. The scene was complete lust!

It's not a romantic scene if Eric won't even remember it. A first encounter should have both of them, "Encountering" not Ariel just falling head over heals for him.

^ I kinda explained in the previous poll why I counted the scene as an encounter. That's just my opinion.

Also I called this one the final and then the next round is the grand final. That's just what goes on in Australia - sorry if it's confusing.

I like it, but it's more played for laughs. The others are more romantic. :D

Oh, well, I think Ariel and Eric's one can be defined as a first encounter; they meet each other and communicate, even if it's not verbal. Eric doesn't talk, but he still wakes up. He still sees her and meets her.
You don't have to talk to someone to meet them.
Encounter - "an unexpected or casual meeting with someone or something."
This poll is about first encounters, not first communications. Pocahontas and John Smith don't communicate for a while - I think lack of communicated makes it more powerful.
Anyway, sorry if you disagree, that's just what I thought.

Getting your hand almost chopped , stranger decides to help you and lies to the market person that you are his sister and a bit crazy. Not exactly what someone would dream of. It only gets better when they hide from the guards.

Yeah, technically Ariel/Eric's first encounter is on the ship, but you're right, when Eric is actually cognizant is on the beach. Eric is awake for it.
Probably in real life I wouldn't like Aladdin/Jasmine's but it's really cute. I don't know, I like all of these.

I love this scene, but I don't want to have my first encounter with 'the one' in this way. XD
