My issue with The Little Mermaid is Ariel and Eric. Pocahontas could have been a lot better but I think The Little Mermaid would have done better if Ariel and Eric were written better.

Jayden-G picked A Bela e a Fera:
I like BatB, but it has a lot of issues. I don't like the way Belle and Beast's relationship was written, and there are so many timing and pacing plot holes, that makes the film seem rushed (Maurice left the town to get his daughter the day Belle went to the castle, and they make it seem like it was weeks that passed. It would not take Maurice weeks to get to the palace, when it took everyone else a mere hour. Also, him and LeFou could not survive in the cold for weeks. Also in the stain glass and the portrait, the Beast did not look like he aged a day from when he got turned to a beast, to after the curse was broken, even though Lumiere says hey have been this way for 10 years, and the movies confirms him to be turning 21 when the last petal falls). I found all of these plot holes, and I was not even trying to nitpick when I watched it. Their relationship seems a bit rushed, and I'm not even going to brig up all the animation flaws.

Definitely! They could have created better story, better characters, better soundtrack, even pick a better time period.

@Jayden-G: I disagree with your opinion that Belle and Beast have rushed relationship. They spent a lot of time together, learned about each other, did a lot of cute, little gestures for one another, managed to change for the for each other and eventually realized that they're in love. Comparing them to couples like Snow&Prince, Cinderella&Charming, Aurora&Phillip and Ariel&Eric, it's just a bit odd to say that Belle and Beast has a rushed relationship.

Or Pocahontas. I think John Smith should have returned and PatF should have been the original Princess and the Frog, not something like it adventure in New Orleans. Well the location is not so important but it's bugs me when there's storybook about Princess and the Frog, it's like Cinderella would have read every night book "Cinderella" before she went to sleep.

I love the films story I just think a better character development for Tiana, I would have liked a better soundtrack though do love 'Almost There'. I wish they had more scenes Tiana in her human form and chose to have her hair loose when it came to her green gown, they could have made the adventure more interesting and enticing to watch.

They all could have been better....Snow White would have been better with less filler scenes, Cinderella would have been better if Charming had any bearing in the plot, Sleeping Beauty would have been better if they had cut out or shortened the "Skumps" scenes in favour for a little bit more about Aurora and Phillip (and if the movie had been more straightforward about making the fairies the protagonists), Ariel would have been better if Ariel had more character devolopment (this really bugs me about the movie, I like that Ariel is a flawed character, but it bothers me that the movie doesn't really adress the flaws), Beauty and the Beast would have been better if they had solved the timeline issue and with less rushed animation, the lists for Aladdin, Pocahontas and Princess in the Frog are way to long to write them down here, Mulan would have been better if they had went all the way out for the battle scenes (and if they had chosen for Mushu a voice which is similiar good to Otto, who did the voice in the German dubbing) and Tangled would have been better if "When will my life beginn" were a better song and the start of "Mother knows best" were less sudden.

The only think the creators should've improved on is giving Aurora and Philip more screen time. I don't really have a problem with that, but they're the main characters and they still give the others more time. I also disliked the scene where Aurora was going to Maleficent because the colors looked so pale and dark like it's a horror movie when it's supposed to be a classical Disney movie. Other than that, I love the plot and everything else about it.

Tangled would have been better had the earlier, darker concept arts been included in animation process, primarily the one where Rapunzel is looking at King, Queen and the Lost princess mural alone in the dark night elluminated with nothing but candles and the remaining lanterns floating here and there while Flynn presumably left to make amends with Stabbingtons. In my opinion it would have worked so much better than the short, barely consistent glance Rapunzel ended up giving it in the movie canon.

Batb romance is indeed rushed. Eric/Ariel, Charming/Cinderella and Aurora/Phillip were supposed to be love at first sight whereas Belle and Beast were specifically designed to have a subtle build up, which they imo failed at. The idea behind their romance is appealing but the execution is incredibly sloppily written and largely based on outer factors rather than actual emotional connection the two characters were supposed to form. Through the course of basically the entire time throughout which Belle and Beast were getting to know each other Belle merely saw Beast as a friend with no indication of any romantic feelings being anywhere insight hence why her love declaration in the end came off as so incredibly rushed. In addition to that, Beast's development being ultimately based on obtaining reading skills and learning how to behave at the table has to be one of the most inorganic character progressions in Disney.

PaTF takes the cake though. And I have already listed my issues with it in a similar poll today.

rhythmicmagic picked enrolados:
All of them could have done with some improvement, and Princess and the Frog really needed another rewrite where they cut some of the plot and made it a more straightforward, concise storyline, but I personally felt everything else was fine and done really well. Also, that couldn't have been the best ending they could come up with for Mulan.
I picked Tangled because I have the most definitive ideas of what specifically was not done to its best and could have done better. A lot of the humor and language feels contrived and too modern, honestly a lot of it felt like I was watching a DreamWorks movie. I have said many times before I don't like the style of music used. Also, Rapunzel and Flynn both feel very unoriginal. I honestly cannot think of one original thing about either of them.

Jayden-G picked A Bela e a Fera:
I agree with Swanpride, that all of them could be better

-Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Cinderella could have been better if their princes had more screen time, that is it for these two movies

- Sleeping Beauty could have been better if they cut of all of the unnecessary filler scenes (the fathers fighting with fish, and the fairies talk forever to leave the castle, and develop Aurora, Phillip, and Maleficent. It would be better if it had a clear protagonist and a clear point of view.

- The Little Mermaid is good, but they could have written Ariel A LOT better, and has Eric a by more point of view and character

- Beauty and the Beast could be better if they solved the many timeline, plot, and animation issues. Also, the relationship between Belle and Beast seems a bit too sudden, as the Beast was going to hit her a few days ago. This relationship definitely should have been written better

- Aladdin could have been better if it wasn't so modern, and there were NO pop-culture references. No one likes those

- Pocahontas could have been better if they stayed a bit closer to the historically and geographically accurate story of Pocahontas and Virginia. The characters should have interacted with each other a lot more, so you could feel the tension between the natives and the settlers. Also, Governor Ratcliffe should not have been a villain

- Mulan could have been better ....... If...... can someone help me with this one. Oh, certain scenes get too awkward with the gender stereotypes, and the relationship between Shang and Mulan. They could have made it a little less awkward

-PatF could have been better if Facilier had a relation to one of the characters, because his reasons for bein in the movie is just to have a villain, and it is not very explanatory. The development of the relationship between Tiana and Naveen should have occurred more naturally. The same with their character development

- Tangled could have been better if firstly the songs were more memorable and less bland, it feels like a Dreamworks movie doing a story about a princess at times, the humour and characters are a bit too modern (not nearly as close to Aladdin though), and Rapunzel and Flynn are both "been there, done that". It would have been better if they were a bit more original. I agree with what Rhythmicmagic said about this movie

Everybody has made very good points about these movies

I really think that the Issue with Mulan was mostly that they didn't make it BIG. Not cutting down the numbers of soldiers whenever it is convenient, a more impressive animation overall and not just in a couple of scenes,

I actually think that there is nothing wrong with the music style in Tangled...it's the same as in TLM and BatB and Aladdin and Pocahontas after all. It's just that they went a little bit too formulatic with the songs (like: We need an "I want" song with reprise because all DP movies have one).

I think PatF would have needed a complete rewrite of both, characters and story...the only thing they should have kept was Lottie.
For Pocahontas: If they really wanted to love-angle, okay, but they should have come up with a story which has more grey characters and no outright villain.
And Aladdin...less pop culture references, a less cartoney style, a plot which doesn't hinge on everybody being face blind for starters.
