As someone who has parents who are alcoholics and someone who also likes a drink every now and then, no i don't think alcohol should be made illegal. I do think however there should be a on how much a person can buy in any one time. For example i buy a bottle of wine every mês but not necessarily drink them all. Yet i have seen others with whole shopping carts full to the brim with cerveja and other alcoholic beverages.
It seems odd to me that here in the UK we can how many painkillers a person can buy (just in case they overdose) yet allow someone to buy gallons of alcohol.
I believe earlier education in the effects of alcohol is needed. You start sex education here in the UK in ano 6 (around 11/12) and continue in senior school, with sex education should come an education on drugs of all kinds.
But no, to be illegal is taking it too far. People like to be intoxicated at certain points in their lives, such as the coming of age to legally drink at 18, christmas, birthdays etc. And why shouldn't we?

alcohol is something which causes harm to our life.so it should not be promoted.at the early childhood itself we must be aware of the consequences of its consumption.it seems that all the bloody incidents are due to the alcohol consumption.one should be workaholic but not alcoholic since it endangers the life of a human. So the government should take stringent actions against the consumption por bringing in laws altleast to those who are below 18 years of age.there are eduactional awareness being given regarding many matters.a similar awareness must be given to the students.By making use of the utilities of new education system,it is high time the govt should implement it.

Making alcohol illegal sounds like a good idea in theory. However, making it illegal does mais harm than good. People who are really addicted will do anything to get their hands on it. Addiction is not a crime, it's an illness. Meanwhile, you have people who really should be in a prison who aren't.

I'm not a drinker of alcohol nor have I ever expressed any interest in it. But I do however know a lot of people that do like it. Personally I don't care who decides to drink the awful poison but it pisses me off when I see people who don't drink it responsibly. Yes I also agree that there should be a to how much you can consume because it's constantly proven that too much alcohol consumption makes people act like downright fools! I don't think banning it will do no good. There are way too many people that drink it and the last thing we need is to fill up our jail cells even mais especially over something so dumb.
