Can anyone be so kind as to answer my question?

What is the whole story with csi Miami? Who were the originals? What happened with everyone? Who is killed? Who leaves? Who is fired and comes back? What's everyone's story? Who is new?

Sorry I'm asking so much its just that I started csi Miami a few months atrás and was okay with it until they started showing older episodes and I was like WTH who are these people and what happened? So confusing. Lol. Anyways I'd really appreciate if you guys answered!

Tim Speedle is killed during the season 3 premire "Lost Son".Marisol(Eric's older sister) dies in "One of Our Own" i think. Jessop died(a cop) im not sure what episode.
Alexx Woods leaves in season 6 "A Rock In A Hard Place".Eric leaves in season 8.He gets put in jail in season 7 episode "Sink or Swim".Tara Price(season 7 Medical Examiner)gets put in jail in season 7 because she popped pills.
Ryan Wolfe gets fired in either at the end of season 5 or at the beginning of season 6 im not sure.
In season 8 Jesse Cardoza is new.
I you watch season 8 episode 1...it will give you all the answers
