Critical Analysis of Twilight Club

I’ve read many lists pointing out Twilight “Plot Holes”, but mais often than not, the lists aren’t very valid at all. Half of them are usually just complaints, pointing out something they don’t like about Twilight (Example:” Why would vampiros go to high school?”, or “Why does Bella have so many friends?”). The rest are just factually incorrect, or can be logically theorized. These are usually followed por “Stephenie Meyer obviously ditched history class”, or “Hasn’t Stephenie ever heard of logic?”, or my personal favorite, “I would know, I had a lesson about it...

I'm just sayin' Bella is one of the worst role modelos ever when it comes to love, sex and life choices and should not have allowed to be published in any shape or form. I mean, when she's made the heroine of the story and marketted at teenage girls.

1. She's obsessively in amor with a control freak stalker.

Unfortunately it seems the vast majority of the Twilight fangirls are too with the very same freak.

2. She wants him so bad that she'll abandone everyone else she loves so that she could be with him. Even when it means she'll practically have to become a blood-drinking corpse.

(The movie 'Eclipse'...

The Harry Potter vs Twilight war is a huge phenomenon in the literary world. We have artigos floating around in the Internet (even in CAT) where both camps vehemently defend their fandoms. I am a huge Harry Potter fan, but today, I am not going to take sides. How it started, and how it evolved in a full-scale clash between fãs of both series is something I would cover in this article.

It started off with a few websites claiming Twilight is the new Harry Potter. Harry Potter fans, of course, would not take it sitting down, and they wrote artigos with reasons why Harry Potter is better than...

OMG she totally stole that apple from Adam and Eve!!!
The people on this spot who know me will be aware I'm an anti, but I think a part of using this spot fairly means me not only talking when I have something against Twilight, but also fessing up when I don't think Meyer/the books/actros/etc are in the wrong. I've heard a lot about how many of Meyer's plot points are too similar to those in other vampire/fantasy stories. Well, that's never the way it's put. It's usually closer to "she totally ripped off _____. That's a stolen idea!" and I wanted to talk about why I actually disagree with most of those accusations. I say 'most of' and not 'all...

We have a discussion on the forums here about noteworthy things in twilight. I picked Angela, and now I realize that Jessica is noteworthy, too.

We'll start with Jessica!Hate. Besides Lauren, Jessica is probably the most hated human friend that Bella has. Reasons Twilighters give for this are 'Jessica is a brat', 'she ignores her in book two', 'she's too hyper', and 'i just don't like her'. Some of those are just ridiculous. 'Jessica is a brat'. How? How is Jessica a brat? Answer: She isn't. 'she ignores bella in book two' I'll elaborate on this one later, because it's pretty big. 'shes...

1. In Twilight, the "romance" as they call it is just there from the beginning. In Percy Jackson and the Olympians (We'll call it PJO), the Percy-Annabeth relationship was apparent from the start, but built up until the kiss in Battle of The Labryrinth and eventually their relationship began in The Last Olympian.
2. In Battle Of The Labryrinth, Percy ran into Greek mythology's equivilent to vampires: the empousai. These were ugly creatures who had flaming hair, one goat leg, one metal leg, fangs, were deadly poisonous, and usually disguised themselves as mean cheerleaders. In Twilight, the...

Twilight vamps&other people;

Don't have fangs,
sparke in sunshine,
live on animal blood and call themselves veggies,
don't have a lumpy face,
live in really rich mansions(?),
don't have souls but are completely lame like rehabilitated drug-users(that never took drugs),
Can't be staked
Are looked (from the fangirls view)upon as superior beings that don't hurt anyone and call themselves dangerous
Stalk young girls only to seem romantic
Fall inlove with small children and beg to be their lover while they are like 16(just 12)
Don't belong in sassy teenage crap that is pure drama

They arenot vampires...

Note: It’s important for me to communicate that I don’t know the author of Twilight or her family personally and I do not intend them any insult; this artigo is purely academic speculation inspired por a story which will remain a timeless work of art. It is the emotional accessibility of the work which makes commentary such as this possible. I may be projecting the whole thing… But that’s exactly why Twilight is so successful, because it invites us so welcomingly into the story!

Every fã knows the story of the Twilight Saga.
There are many theories as to what makes the story such a pop-culture...

Jacob: Let me call Bella.*dials Bella's number*
Operator: I am sorry. This person is talking to (Bella's voice)Edward Cullen. Please leave a message after the tone.
*tone never comes up*
Jacob: OH C'MON!

The seguinte day.

Jacob: I want Bella NAO!*calls Bella*
(Answering machine): The Swans are out right now, please leave a message after the beep.
[beep never stops]
Jacob: OH C'MON!

The dia after that:

Bella: *makes a new answering machine*
Jacob: *calls*
[Machine]: Hi, its Bella. If its Jacob, stop leaving messages saying "OH C'MON!" and if your not a Cullen or my dad, don't call me. At ALL!
Jacob: ?
*beep beep beep beep*
{This phone will self destruct in 3, 2, 1}
Jacob: OH C'MON!

[Check the TS spot to see who made it, its me. So don't kill me about 'You roubou this!'].
Yeah, I know all the uber-fans are saying "Well, why didn't you see it sooner?" and all the antis are saying "The world DOESN'T need Twilight!"But I ask that you listen to what I have to say, anyway.

As strange as it seems, the world actually needs Twilight. It does some good things for us. I am mostly an anti, so it took all my prainpower to come up with these reasons, but here they are, and the mais I think on it, the mais I realize they're true.

Ok, so I visited a fanclub not too long atrás and I noticed this one pergunta I asked; "If Bella killed Renesmee, would Edward forgive her?" or something like that.

I looked at the comments, and at first they were fine. But then as they progressed to the mais recent ones, I had one girl saying what a stupid pergunta to ask, and some other crackhead telling me to go f**k myself.

Being my highly emotional self, I was irked to no end and I responded to these comments.

I'm trying to find a way to just eliminar this question, because I posted it a ano atrás and don't even recall the reasons why it was...

AHHHH! I just got my C.A.T. Medel! YAAAY! To celebrate, I decided to write an artigo about Breaking Dawn, since im not in school today!
Okay. So I first got Breaking Dawn when I was a twi-hard fan, and I couldnt wait to read it! I was sure it would be great!
Boy, was I wrong.
The book was horrible. Just flat out horrible. I mean, I have read a lot of books in my life than were not good, but this took the cake. Everything was just "blah"
I mean...characters were out of character, there was hardly even a plot, and I felt like I was leitura a cheap horror novel. I mean, through the whole thing...

hi this is my first rant ever hope you like it

im a twilight fã but i hate bella
for several things

first of all when you first read the book you have the idea that BELLA is very contempt with herself and a normal looking teenage girl that is very unselfish and very kind and loving and warm and falls in amor with a vampire and she would do anything for him ..right..

ok but if you concentrate and look beyond all the adjectives s.meyer uses for descriving how beautiful and sparkly edward is and really LOOK at the story and at their characters you will realize the truth about bella that is

Right ok, so there's all this hype surrounding Rob mais so than any of the other cast from Twilight. But why?

It's not because he's the hottest. Because, well he just isn't. He was voted 'sexiest man alive' in numerous magazines such as heat and glamour. My personal favourite from the Twilight film is Peter Facinelli. I met him in July and he is the most geniune actor I have heard of. He has time for his fans, something which Rob doesn't.

Then again Rob does gets chased por crazed fã girls, so yeah valid excuse. But say if Peter played Edward, everyone would be all over him just because of the...

First off, I would like to say that I have absolutely no problem with the C.A.T. spot and have just joined myself. If anything, I think that this spot is a good idea and is definitely NOT an anti-spot. The point of this artigo is to explain the point of view of a Twilight fã that does not just like the series because Edward Cullen is SO HOTTT <333, vampiros are AwEsOmE, etc. etc.

Let me start off por saying that I am SICK of uneducated Twilight fãs making the rest of us look like a bunch of air-heads. por uneducated I mean fãs that scream their heads off whenever they see a picture of Robert...

1) Bring a good sense of humor. Don’t ever take things personally, and try not to be too sensitive. Otherwise you’ll be miserable. Just let loose, have fun, and be willing to laugh.

2) If someone offends you, don’t blow up. Respond in a polite, mature way, point out what offended you and why you find it offensive. If it’s something serious or happens to be one of the things forbidden in Rule 5, chances are people will back you up and the problem will work out. If it isn’t, reread Rule 1.

3) Twi-hards, this isn’t a place to drool over Edward or gush about how amazing the Twilight...

I don't like Twilight. I find the characters shallow; the plot boring and cliche; and the hidden messages frightening. But in the hands of another author - someone who wouldn't let their religious upbringing, their misogynistic views, and their twisted romantic ideals colour the story - it could have been really fantastic.

First off, the grammar would have to be fixed. The purple prose minimised and the no geral, global composição literária polished up.

Next the characters would have to be made realistic, their actions have an effect on the plot, and their history an effect on them.

Take Rosalie, for example. If Rosalie's...
