Depends on the kind of cat, the color, the size, the owner...Everything. My gatos names are Simba and Harley, which I found in a magazine with cats, Tigger, after a cat my grandma had, Thirteen and Steve McQueen after characters on House MD, and Meow because I liked his meow when I was little. XD But I kind of consider Simba a cat/dog/rabbit/prairie dog. He stands on his hind legs like a prairie dog, he eats clovers like a rabbit, and he plays fetch and frisbee like a dog. Lol, so it depends on everything.

we dont name them till' we've had them a few weeks, so we can get to know their personalities better. our current brood are called Munchkin, Chomper, Houdini, Binkey and Jaws!
the one in the front is Jaws, the one sleeping with his nose in Jaws' back is Binkey, the one alongside Jaws is Houdini, the one who only his butt is showing is Chomper, and i know this only because the one not pictured, Munchkin, is not shorthaired like the rest.
There are a lot of good names to choose from but it all depends on the looks and personality of the cat. The black cat is named Reta. Since we got her as a kitten she was totaly crazy and a complete spaz! Reta seemed to fit because its the first four letters of retard! LOL! The gray and white cat is named Slushie because she is the as cores of slush during the winter on the side of the road. ^_^
My gatos name is Indiana (indi for short) because of his adventurous personality. My gatinhos name is Oreo becasue she is mostly black but has white patches like the oreo cookie.
Me and my family choose names based on what we feel at the time. their personalites and their pele, peles colorings. There are many ways to name a cat. Or u choose one that u wont forget EVER
I would probably name it after my other cats. Tiki for a girl and Thomas for a boy.Tiki was chased away por cachorros (stupid idiotic dogs!!!) and Thomas ran away and he was only a kitten! Sprinkles is my only surviving cat... :'(
I enjoy giving my gatos unusual names.I have three cats,Mr.Fluffykins(Don't judge me!Besides...he's almost like a cute lil spawn of satan in cat,so somehow the name fits XDDD.And it annoys the both of us when someone makes fun of his name.I give them the "STFU" stare,and he looks like he'd kill them XD),Damien,and Rex(Same thing,people have a tendancy to call him T-rex,witch infurates me,and makes him look sad.I named him after a bunny,not a dinosuar...damn) :3

Well, I once had a Himalayan cat named Gizmo from the movie Gremlins (Gizzy for short) but he died of some lung thing. My Dad said he sounded like Darth Vader. Now I have 2 tabbies named Teddy (orange, sometimes called Tedders) and Leo (black). They know their names and come on command. They are my babies! This picture of them is my facebook ícone picture.
well in my opinion it depends on the gatos personality, I mean my mother nicknamed my cat coco puffs because she runs around and meows like crazy! Also my cousins named their cat Koo de ta They said it meant talken over the house and she did. The best name for a cat depends on the way the cat acts and their pesonality. .This is my cat...
I amor the names from the lord of the rings. My cat is gray and named Gandalf :) and now I have a baby tartaruga I call Gimli ♥. I've always wanted two siamese gatos though (like from Lady and the Tramp), but I wanna call them Flotsam and Jetsam (like the eels from The Little Mermaid) lol.
