Chapter 9 : The Discovery
Another long and tiring dia ended. Isabella wondered how on earth she managed to get free time after Ballet lessons, being a seamstress, being a maid, and trying to come up with plans to get payback from Miranda, anastasia and Drizella. Not to mention dealing with how giggly and dreamy Lalaina seemed to be after Isabella told her about meeting the prince.
Occasionally, she would play the flute, but only in her shared room or the gardens. She didn't dare to go to the mรบsica Room, incase she met the prince. She didn't know how to react when he was around. Sometimes, she would be in the library, reading. mรบsica and dancing always made her feel at home, books were a close second.
So there she was, in the library, browsing through the shelves, looking for something new and interesting to read. Suddenly, her eyes fell upon a thin, white book, with golden and lavender designing, and a jasmim flor in the middle. She picked it up. There was no title. Odd, she thought.
Isabella opened the book and saw the tรญtulo on the first page. 'The Dancing Princess', it read. Normally, she wasn't into fairytales, but since this was late into the night anyway, perhaps this would do as a bedtime story.
Carefully, hurriedly and noiselessly, she went back to her room, only to find her sister and best friends asleep. She kept the book on her desk, changed into her nightgown, changed her hairstyle from its bun, and settled in cama with her book.
Bella began leitura in her mind. Occasionally, she would smile to herself, and continued. She was in the middle of the story, when finally, something interesting happened.
She eagerly read on, "So the princess danced on each of the special stones. Then, on the 12th one, she twirled 3 times. And a secret door opened."
She flipped a page, "She walked through a glowing light into a magic land. With trees of silver and gold! flores made of jewels."
She flipped another page, " Across the lake was a golden pavilion. The princess danced and danced to her heart's content. She wanted to stay forever, but that was not to be. The magic land vanished after the 3rd night. The princess was heartbroken, until she realized she brought some magic back with her. And it was hers to keep forever." This time, there was no page to flip.
Well, that was an unsatisfactory ending, she thought. What kind of magic was it? Better dancing? Those special flowers?
Nevermind, she thought, as she put the book back on her desk, and fell asleep, dreaming of dancing.

Over the seguinte few days, 'The Dancing Princess' had gone back to the library, and thoughts about said book were pushed to the back of her mind, along with other books' thoughts.
Until, she was responsible for cleaning one of the biggest rooms in the front-east of the castle. It was a bedroom, apparently. The room was circular. There was no other word to describe it. It had a dome of its own, with 2 circular windows. There wasn't any need for a balcony, as the room was accessed through a long lobby, which had a balcony and a humongous amount of windows of its own.
As she was cleaning, she noticed a pattern of circular โ goodness, just how many things in this room were going to be circular? โ stones, and something in her mind clicked. The plain lavender stone pattern looked exactly like the illustration in the book.
Thinking of herself as the most foolish person to be dancing randomly on stones that were placed like this por a mere coincidence, and simultaneously praying that the head maid wouldn't find her dancing instead of cleaning, she stepped on a stone. Nothing happened.
"Of course nothing will happen, you idiot," she scolded herself in the silence of the room.
Carefully and gracefully stepping on each stone, she hoped for something to work. As expected, nothing. Feeling even mais foolish than before, Isabella went back to cleaning glumly.

Alas, the pattern never left her alone. This time, she and Ilana were supposed to rake the grama near a small pavillion-like place, and once again, the pattern was there.
"Are you ever going to leave me alone?" she asked to no one in particular, groaning.
"What? What did I do?" came Ilana's reply in a question, as she frowned at her sister.
"No, not you Lana. It's these steps," said Bella, gesturing to said steps.
"You're bothered about steps, of all things," Lana arched an eyebrow.
"No. You don't get it. These same steps were in that giant bedroom I cleaned," said Isabella.
"So?" This time both of Ilana's eyebrows were arched.
And then, Isabella told her about the book, and its relation to the steps. Ilana's arched eyebrows never really came back down as Isabella talked.

Over the seguinte few days, Isabella focused on opening that portal. And finally, after 10 days, she found it. She marked the corner of the step which was the first one as soon as it lit up.
The magical land was even mais beautiful than the book's descriรงรฃo of it. For the seguinte 3 days, she freely danced there as much as she wanted. She danced so much, that every time her shoe soles were ruined. On the 3rd time she visited, she wished that the portal would be open even after anyone who visited had been there 3 times.
And on the 4th time, it worked.

A/N : Here's chapter 9. I'm sorry if it didn't have too much dialogue. Did you like how this was linked to the film? And don't worry about the stones not having flor patterns on them, it's not a plot hole, it's a surprise for you readers. Enjoy. Comment what you think it will be! Review and laterz!
