a good animê iv'e watched and have amor for the rest of my life is shakugan no shana and also if you want a horrer animê with lost of blood,drama,and mystery watch higurashi no naku koro ni the english version is cald when they cry

well its hard especially because you're a guy but I would recommend:
COMIC PARTY REVOLUTION-if you want an animê that can relieve you of your stress or boredom or maybe you're looking for a comic relief anime, this one is for you.
BOYS BE-this animê is told in a guys point of view rather than that of a girl.This animê gives an access to what goes on inside a male's brain especially because your a guy
GATE KEEPERS-fantasy,adventure,mecha and fictional animê series, not only that but gate keepers has a comedic touch that can surely be laughed about.
IKKITOUSEN-just watch this animê because a lot of guys like this anime
SHOUNEN ONMYOUJI-shounen-oriented presentation merged with a shojou-driven story.Light romantic touch and comic escapades coupled with fantasy-magic actions brings the best of both worlds
SAMURAI CHAMPLOO-this animê series follows in the cool action hero style of lupin the third and cowboy bebop and combines it with the amazing swords slashing action sequences from Rurouni Kenshin
KAMEN NO MAID GUY-who say's beast can't become maid?this animê show a servant from hell who is loyal to the Fujiwara family.A uniquely funny series.

black lagoon, gantz and elfen lied though judging por you list there these are alot mais violent than what your used to so to prove it i'll put the dog scene from elfen lied on here in english 18+ only (warning may scar you for life)
