All of them were made por (mostly) the same people, all of them are absolutely amazing anime, and all of them are so horribly underrated. Probably because there aren't very many animê fãs who are willing to not only process the complicated plots, but also appreciate the immense intellectual value behind all of them.

SE:L was actually pretty popular over in Japão for a while but I agree. All three are wonderfully executed philosophical stories with such deep meanings.

I know, SEL used to be popular, since it's actually a pretty old anime. but after all the 'mainstream' animê took over, it sort of faded, and I don't see alot of fãs anymore. but you're right, it's probably the least underrated of the three.
