You shouldnt hang out with her much, try to stay away from her until the whole problem stops. If she keeps insulting you, I think you should hang out with other friends, or make new ones.

IKRZ! my 2 friends were sitting with me at launch one day. I was talking to one of them about Vampire Knight. My other friend said to us " y do u just talk about animê all the time?" We turn to her and say " You dont like us talking about animê then go find some other friends"

Well on thing I can say,is a so called "friend" who disrespects something you like isn't a real friend,friends are people who like you for you,someone who's there for you when you need them the most,and someone who RESPECTS like your liking and disliking(s),and when you tell them to stop something like making fun of something or someone they'd do that,I think you should tell her something like "If You were really one of MY friends,you would respect my liking for anime,if you can't do that,and you're going to continue making fun of me,you aren't a true friend. like me for who I am or don't be my friend at all!",or something like that,because friends don't and shouldn't make fun of you or make you feel bad,because friends shouldn't do that!,anyway hopefully I helped with this in some way!^^

You need to find new friends i would say. "You don't deserve to be friend's with someone as awesome as me." or something along those lines, seriously she sounds like a real Bitch! Most of my friends don't like animê but recently i have found quite a few that do. so ditch her if she doesn't improve.

well, i'd say u should just give her the silent treatment and ignore her. start hanging out with other ppl and leave her, soon she's probably going to miss u and beg u to be her friend again. (that's what i did with this other girl i used to be friends with) ^-^ i hope u find a rlly nice friend- one that's amor anime

If she does then she is just a hypocrite, animê is just like those shows, animation to entertain you. So what if it's from another country.

easy ! do as i always do. me and my bff winry were the only people in our friends who liked animê but winry left 2 another city so i was and still am the only 1 who likes animê . so when my friend started beijoca, smack talking bout animê i started beijoca, smack talking bout frodo 4m loard of the rings she is crazy bout him and she gets pised of very easyly -_-. she told me 2 stop so i said that if ever says any thing bad bout animes im gona print a pic i destroed of frodo and and give it 2 every 1 in school .once i opened up her fanpop account and made that pic her ícone cause she was beijoca, smack talking bout animê and now she has stoped.
