Before American Idol Adam was in the Broadway show Wicked so he could have gotten disqualified but it turned out he was not one of the leads so he could not get kicked off American Idol. He did have a few talking lines but was not one of the bigger lead parts so he was safe! He was singing his whole life and was born a natural singer and dancer.
