Right now, the Zayn Malik fandom is well and truly caught up in chaos, thanks to that mysterious unnamed blonde girl selfie of DOOM landing at the weekend. But if you, like Zayn himself, are in it for the #realmusic rather than the drama, this latest news might be a bit more up your street.

Influential DJ and generally profesh music guy Zane Lowe has delivered his educated, non-fangirl verdict on the shiny new Malik solo music, and you\'ll be glad to hear that he reckons it\'s "really good".

So far, thanks to Naughty Boy and his lack of chill, we\'ve heard a couple of examples of what might be to come from Zayn\'s future career, but it seems as though DJ Zane might have heard something we haven\'t. OOOH.

"I heard something by Zayn and it was really good," Zane revealed (this is getting confusing) to heat mag. "I don\'t know what people expect, but he sounds great."

It\'s no surprise to hear that the solo stuff is sounding top notch, considering it not only involves the velvety angelic vocals of Mr Malik, but also a bit of handy help from Frank Ocean\'s producer. Zane went on to add that it\'s of course quite different from 1D\'s music too, saying that: "People will be drawn to his music in a different way."

The fact that top industry DJs are getting to wrap their earholes around some of his stuff now makes us think that maybe it won\'t be too long until the rest of us get to hear something too. But oh gahd, imagine if he dropped his debut on November 13th. IMAGINE.
