Algebra was rotting my brain. I couldn't understand anything our teacher was saying. I jotted down things that didn't make sense and vowed to ask my brother for help. Math geek. "Do you understand any of this?" the girl seguinte to me whispers. She looked like the kind of girl most avoid. Yet also held the obvious fact of the 'I'm rich!' screaming of her body.

I hated rich snotty people. But I myself completed half of that. I was rich now. or at least lived with someone who was. In fact most people either had a scholar ship or were rich. She was a red head. "No i don't" I shook my head. "My name is Katrina, but you can call me Kat" she smiled.

"Amelia" I smiled. "cool name" she nodded. "Katrina can you answer this problem" the teacher scrunched his nose up I looked at Dick who mouthed the answer to me. "82" I mumbled to Kat. "I believe it's 82 sir" she mocked him. he huffed and went to pick on another kid. "Thanks" she smiled. "Thank my brother he's the math geek" I shrugged.

Something hit the back of my head. Turning it was a ball of paper. Smoothing it out I snickered. Kat leaned over and snickered to. The words were printed in my brothers hand writing. I AM NOT! >,< was written. I stuck my tongue out at him before turning away.

"Amelia please answer this on the board" our teacher smirked. I turned and smirked. "You can't it doesn't give us enough information to solve this. it's a trick your using to fluster us into panic because no one can answer it" I grinned. His face got real red in the face and Kat started giggling under her hand. "Amelia I suggest you keep the smart mouth comments to your self" he puffed his chest out.

"Just answering the pergunta sir" i rolled my hand. He huffed and stared me down. "I got it right, right?" I quirked an eyebrow. "yes" he growled. Kat was about to burst from laughter and I pinched her in the arm. The sino wrung and we rushed out. Kat burst into laughter. "That was beast my friend!" she opened her locker which was seguinte to mine.

I turned to talk with Kat when Dick slammed into my locker. "What the hell!" I snapped. "Sorry" he panted. "how far did you run?" I asked. "From class to here I was sprinting" he panted. I held out my water bottle and he took grateful gulps. "Whatcha need?" I asked.

"After school (pant pant)don't go straight to the cave Bruce needs to see you" he whispered so low I could barely hear him. But I nodded and watched him run into the crowd. Shrugging I grabbed my lunch and fallowed Kat outside. I spotted Zack talking to his 'girlfriend'. "Did you know Zack challenged first assento and WON! He was put in last but he got burst of confidence" she through her hands in the air.

"Wow" I shrugged. As we dug into our lunches we talked out our family. "So yeah mom and dad are showering me with stuff to help with the fact their getting a divorce. But all I really want is them to get back together" she sighed. "My parents are dead" i muttered. She snapped her head up. "What!" she snatched my hand. "When I was 11 months old my parents were killed in a foreign country during an attack. I was adopted. When I was 10 years old my adoptive parents murdered" I sighed. "And now I live with Bruce Wayne" I finished.

"Wow" she blinked. "well then I guess both of us have our faults" she smiled. "Sup ladies" Zack slid in seguinte to Kat. "Kat, Amelia" he nodded. "You know her?" I asked. "Kat takes pictures for the school paper" he answered. "Ah" I nodded. "We've been friends for a while" Kat shrugged. "Well as much as I enjoy Alfred's biscoitos, cookies you wanna get ice cream after school?" i asked.

"I'm up for it" he nodded. "Sure" Kat smiled. So I alerted Dick of my plans he said as long as I was início por 4 pm I should be fine. I smiled pulled some tights (black) from my drawer I unpacked since i had a feeling I wouldn't be leaving.Brushing my hair into a nice pónei, pônei tail. Running down the steps I felt Dick grinning. "What?" I laughed. "you? In a dress? i thought I would never see the day" he gasped dramatically putting his tie on.

Bruce came down stairs and smiled. I helped Alfred set out plates of food. Despite his protest I didn't want to be useless. When people started showing up Dick told me we shake peoples hands and smile. That's about it. It seemed okay and now I realized that is SUCKED!

I felt bad for Bruce since he actually had to talk to these people. After 3 hours I yawned a little. it was getting near 10:30. Me and Dick went to go sit down staying with in the sight range of Bruce. After 20 minutos i felt Dick's head on my shoulder. Glancing down I smiled. He was fast asleep. His lips were parted ever so slightly. I wrapped my arm around him and closed my eyes.

Bruce woke us up when everyone left. Well I woke up. Dick didn't. Bruce picked him up and walked up stairs. Dick woke up when Bruce set him down in his room. I stumbled into mine and shed the tights and dress. Then I changed and crawled into bed. I woke up a little when light shun on my face. Bruce kissed my forehead and then left.

I lay there in shock. Even my adopted parents showed as little affection as possible. I just didn't get it. Why was Bruce so....different? I was soon dragged back into sleep though. I woke up at dawn yawning and rolling away from the light. There was weight seguinte to me. Wait...what?

Turning over I saw Dick grinning at me. "Ngh what?" I blinked and yawned. "Wake up!" he dragged my hand. "Why!?" I complained. "Because Alfred is making waffles" he poked. I sat up my forehead smacking into his. He fell and whined. "Oh my god he's making waffles!?" I flew out of cama leaving Dick to scramble after me.

I jumped the last four steps and slid into the kitchen. bruce looked up from his coffee. Alfred paused and looked at me strangely. Dick stumbled in. "She got up when I mentioned waffles" and now my forehead hurts" he grumbled. "Just because i amor waffles doesn't mean you have to rain on my parade" I mock growled.

He stuck his tongue out. Alfred set waffles in front of us. Complete with manteiga and syrup. "Sweet!" I cheered and dug into it. I grinned at Dick. Bruce smiled at us. "Beware all evil we have waffles" I cracked. Dick and me burst into laughter.
