I used a few frases from the TV series in here. Don't remind me.
Chapter 8-
Rome, Italy
7:23 CET December 19
The two teenagers packed their bags and checked out of the hotel before heading out into the damp, gloomy morning.
Artemis could tell Wally was determined, he hadn't eaten yet. The two marched down to the train station where they caught a train heading toward Venice.
About an hora into the trip, the two teens' tensions were running high.
"This is going to take forever!" Wally complained.
"I don't like it anymore than you do." Artemis replied.
"By the time we get there, the boats will be closed!"
"This isn't America, we could probably rent a barco to get to Venice if we needed."
"Yeah but we're wasting too much time!"
"Do you have a faster way to get there?"
As soon as she asked, she regretted it. "Oh no you don't." she said, inching away from Wally.
"Oh come on! You know you amor it!"
"Eew! Do not!"
"You got a faster way to save your mom?"
Artemis hated to admit it, but he was right.
"Well we can't jump off the train." she said.
"We'll wait until the seguinte station."
"Approaching Station 421, please..." a voice said in Italian, American, and a few other languages over the intercom.
"Well that was fast." Wally said.
The train came to a stop and Wally and Artemis were the first ones off.
"Let's change." Wally suggested.
"Good idea." Artemis said. They ducked into bathrooms to change into their uniforms.
Megan's voice echoed in Artemis's head. "Artemis? Where are you?"
"Uh..." Artemis wasn't sure how to respond.
"We're supposed to meet at the airport to leave today." Megan said.
Artemis stepped outside in her uniform and ducked around to the side where Wally was waiting.
"Um, Wally's holding me up packing." she said. Wally glared at her. Artemis mouthed 'argue' at him. Luckily he understood.
"Well if you hadn't packed your personal room, it wouldn't take you so long." Wally said.
"Well Baywatch, if you hadn't hidden my travel bag, we could be at the airport now!"
"No fair! You roubou my controller yesterday! I had to retaliate somehow!"
Artemis mentally rolled her eyes.
Megan sighed. "See you in an hour?" she asked.
"Yeah," Artemis said.
Megan cut the link and Artemis looked at Wally.
"That, was brilliant." she said.
"Thank you." Wally said proudly.
"Well it wasn't hard to come up with something." Artemis said.
"You know what?" Wally said. "Let's go save your mom and argue about this later."
Wally picked up Artemis and raced off.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Around Bologna, Wally began to slow down. He came to a stop outside of town.
"Phew." he said. "I'm running on empty. Haven't eaten in a while."
"Me neither." Artemis said. "Let's find a restaurant and then back to running Flash Jr."
"Kid Flash!" Wally protested. "Why is that so hard?"
Wally picked Artemis up and sped off again. They sped into town and changed into civvies.
Wally had found a restaurant por the time Artemis had finished changing.
Artemis sat down, ordered, and had just taken a sip of her water when Megan's voice rang in her mind.
"Where are you two? We're leaving in five minutes!"
"Um, our cab is stuck in traffic. We'll be there in a minute."
"Are you going to be here in five minutes?" Megan asked.
"Uh, no." Wally said. "We'll be there in about half an hora or so. Maybe not man this traffic looks bad. Maybe an hour. You guys go on ahead, we'll catch another flight."
"Your not on your way to the airport are you?" Megan asked.
"Uh, he-he, of course we are!" Wally said.
"Where are you anyway?"
"Gotta go, talk later!" Artemis said, and severed the link.
"We are in soooo much trouble." Wally said.
"Well duh, Baywatch!"
"Megan's probably calling the League now."

"Where are they?" Robin asked.
"Not on their way." Megan said, pulling out her communicator. "I'm calling Canary."
"Yes?" Black Canary's face appeared on the screen.
"We've got a problem..."
Bologna, Italy
10:07 CET December 19
Artemis's communicator buzzed. She pulled it out and saw an incoming transmission from Canary was waiting. Wally put down his fork and stared at it, the two teens not sure what to do.
"Better answer," Wally said. "Or we won't live to see another day."
"But what do I tell her?" Artemis asked.
"I don't know!"
Artemis hesitantly picked up the communicator and opened it. Black Canary's face popped up.
"Where are you two?" she demanded.
"In public." Artemis said.
Canary lowered her voice. "Where are you?"
"Uhhhhh...."
"You are not where I think you are, are you?"
"Maybe..." Artemis said.
"I told you the League would handle it!" Canary said.
"It's my mother!" Artemis said. "Don't you tell me I can't save her!"
batman popped up on the screen. "The League is on their way, return home, now."
Artemis shook her head no at the Dark Knight, surprising everyone.
"I'll contact the League when we get her out. Artemis over and out."
Wally stared at her.
"What?" she asked.
"We are so dead." Wally said.
"Not once we complete this mission."
"You don't know Batman."
"Shut it Baywatch!"
"I swear, if we die because of this, I'll kill you."
