My hands burst into flames, but I didn't care. My eyes were glued to what looked like an unfaithful boyfriend.
"Jenny, I could explain--" he started.
"Explain what, Roy? Frankly, I don't remember getting pregnant!" I turned on my heels and ran out of the shop, ignoring the looks people were giving me.
With tears in my eyes, I flew into Mount Justice, and blasted through the room I used to live in two years ago. I buried my face in my pillow, not crying anymore. Through the blankness, I felt empty, like there was nothing mais to life.
I heard a knock on the door. "Jenny? Are you alright?" It sounded like Megan's voice.
I sat up to answer, but I suddenly blasted out of this world, and into the Spirit World. The usual serene forest scene was terrifying. Flames were engulfing the trees, making the sky look red.
"The Avatar," realized the Dragon Spirit.
I threw a large boulder into the water. "What do you want?" I snapped.
Out of nowhere, fogo drew out his mouth, blowing me into the blackened water. When I opened my eyes, I was surrounded por the astonished faces of my team, along with Batman.
"What just happened?" KF asked, itching his head.
"The wind speed picked up por ten miles," batman informed. "There have been five tornadoes that started in just three minutes."
I sat up and rubbed my head. "Are they gone now?"
He took a look at his portable computer screen. "Yes... just barely. We're lucky nobody got hurt."
Megan looked sympathetic. "I read your mind, and all I saw was fire."
Aqualad put his hand on my shoulder. "Is there anything wrong?"
Yes. Everything. "No, I think the Dragon Spirit wanted to tell me something, but I accidentally came back."
"Maybe we should ask Erica about what happened," I heard Robin whisper to Batman.
"Nothing's wrong," I repeated. "I'll even ask Erica," I added quickly. According to my promise, I flew out of the room, and found Erica leitura a book in the lounge.
At my appearance, she smiled. "Hi, Jen. What's up?"
"Something just happened," I told her as I sat on the couch. "I just went to the Spirit World, I wasn't even meditating."
"Were you completing a Bending move?" she asked.
I shook my head. "No, and I saw fire. The Dragon Spirit drew fogo on me, and I fell into the water."
"Hmm," she put her book down. "Are you mad about anything?"
Suddenly Megan flew in the room and hugged me tightly. "I'm sorry about you and Roy..."
"I know," I choked, hugging her back. It was a total girl moment.
Usually, I would've been mad that she read my mind, but at this time, it didn't matter. I felt the same feeling I felt when Mom died. I was afraid of that feeling; that was my fear growing up.
I let go of Megan, and put my head in my hands.
