Get up. There is not much time left. You must hurry. Save them. GET UP! He jolted upright, eyes springing open. He looked around, breathing hard. His stomach was bandaged and He was in some sort of infirmary. He could hear soft whispers from inside. It was awakening. And bringing a great amount of pain.
Whispers filled his every sense, words he couldn't make out. Fears crowded into him, mais and mais with each painful breath he took. The room spun and he shut his eyes tight. The whispers became louder as mais joined in. He put his hands to his ears, trying to get rid of it.
The whispering only seemed to get louder and it brought mais pain with it. His head and body ached, he felt dizzy. He thought his brain would explode. And then it all stopped. Instantly. He took several deep breaths and opened his eyes. He wiped at a few tears that had escaped.
“You need to go.”
He cringed at the familiar voice.
“I can't.”
“You need to. Or they'll be lost forever.”
“I-I-”
“Get up. You know what you must do. You know you can't let them go. It's not their time. Go now. While there is still a chance of you saving them.”
“ALRIGHT!”
He growled and stood up. He put his trench casaco on and slipped into his shoes. He sighed and squared his shoulders, heading into the shadows.
