Ravage Part III 4
Chapter Nineteen:
Revenge sludged through the thick red mud. His outfit was black outlined in fiery red. A few people had tried to kill him thinking he was from the Harvest.
Just like the guy now, trying to grab him through the mud.
Revenge grabbed him and bashed him on the shore. The guy was dazed. Revenge hoisted him up por the neck.
"How many have you killed today?" he asked.
"Five little pieces of slime. Got the little brat Artemis on the arm as well." the guy grinned wickedly.
"You killed five people, impressive." Revenge grabbed the guy's body and held it above him. "Now guess what."
The guy looked at Revenge's iron-clad grip in fear with his gray eyes. "You won't be killing anyone else."
----------------------------------------------------------------
It was hot. To say the least. The red lighting wasn't helping. Neither was all the opposition Revenge was coming across. He'd...interrogated a few people about the whereabouts of the girl named Artemis. No one would spill.
And no one would be killing anymore. Just like the Black Hero promised.
He continued to sludge through the mud. He'd found a mascará de esqui, máscara de esqui back somewhere and was now wearing it.
Revenge felt a sharp pain in his back and turned around, grabbing the guy and tossing him back before ramming his own spear into him. He left him there and stumbled onwards. Out of the mud, into the sand.
As far as Revenge could gather por himself, this place was meant to turn the metas against themselves until only the strongest and best survived. These were taken and wiped of their hatred of the Culling before being sent out as assassins for the Light.
Sure, his partner was a large bottle of information on anything evil, but she wasn't a 24/7 supplier. He mostly had to gather things on his own. She had helped him at the castelo and that's probably what got Nightwing and Wondergirl to safety.
Revenge grinned and grabbed the girl behind him por the neck before dropping her. "Cassie." he growled.
"Good to see you too." Cassie replied, rubbing her neck. Revenge glanced at the male.
"Who's your boyfriend?"
"Liam. He's a meta. Helped me."
"For now." Revenge said, narrowing his eyes.
"I don't like you." The guy stated plainly.
"And why not?"
"You've got too much hatred, anger, but also fear. Fear for Artemis and fear for...yourself."
"Well wiseguy, who is this Artemis?"
Liam grinned. "Pretty fierce warrior who'll kick your butt. I'm sure she has plenty of experience too, if you've got a few people in here to rescue her."
Revenge growled.
"You're used to being a big, walking tank full of weapons. Now you're not. You can't keep up. Your best chance is with me." Liam stated plainly. Cassie raised an eyebrow at his blatant confrontation with the black hero.
"Give me the dagger under your camisa then." Revenge said. "And I'll trust you enough to let you live."
The guy frowned and pulled the dagger out.
"Gonna use it on blondie?"
"No!"
"Why not?"
"She's...she's with me."
"For now."
